Rules and Guidelines for RP Universe
[center]Basic Site Rules[/center]

We are all here to have fun without being bullied. If you are
bullied please contact one of the Admins and we will do our best

respectful of that. If you have an issue with someone else on
the site please message one of the admins and we will do our
best to resolve it.

the corresponding RP for approval by an Admin and then wait for
that profile to be approved and placed into the Approved
Character area.

but ends in major fights over what actually is happening.

pain*" This is bunny-moding. Instead of allowing Player B to
react to the attack, Player A assumed she hit him and told him
how he was going to react. This is not acceptable RP. Never
assume you know what the other character will do. (Sometimes,
someone gives you explicit permission to run their character
while away. This is the only time bunny-moding is acceptable.)

when a character is able to do whatever they want, whenever they
want with little or no consequences. Be fair about how you react
and don’t always act as if nothing affects you. No one can dodge
100% of the time.

Meta-gaming is when you, the player, knows that something is
going to happen ahead of time or uses your knowledge of what’s
going on to help your character avoid certain problems or react
certain ways. Do not use what you know about other characters
and what’s going on to move your character. Only use, what your
character has actually seen, heard and knows about.

We realize that sometimes OOC comments may be necessary. When
this happens always put the OOC content in parentheses: Example:
(I’m confused). If you want to discuss something either PM the
person or post in the General Discussion area. The General
Discussion area is for OOC conversations about whatever.

with only certain characters that is fine however, there are
some guidelines that must be followed for this. If the thread
will contain 4 or less characters then the title needs to be
followed by (Tag: character 1’s name, character 2’s name, and
character 3’s name). If you wish for more than 4 characters to
be included but still don’t want it to be an open thread then
the title needs to be followed by (Tag: Private). Then it will
be the creator of the thread’s responsibility to PM the
characters they wish to have participate in that thread. Also if
you wish to join a thread is marked private or tagged for
certain characters, contact the thread creator asking for
permission. Keep in mind that they do have the right to deny you
that permission and be respectful when this happens.

following the title. If a thread has that label on it then you
don’t need permission to join it. Go ahead and join and have
fun.

something on a particular thread, try to give others time to
react to your post by posting themselves before you post again
to that thread. If you are in a thread with specific characters
try to allow everyone to post before you reply again. Now this
may not always because some people aren’t as active… if that
happens and say two of the three have posted go ahead and post
again.

via message: This means that any crippling actions, cutting off
of limbs, or killing of another character are only permitted if
permission is obtained from that character via a message BEFORE
the action takes place.

When someone is setting a scene, they may use someone's
character. If this is abused, said person will be warned once,
the set scene will be changed.
