Tohri takes the key and follows him to the elevator. She smiles
at him and blushes. There's so much she could say but wonders
rather it would be best to keep it to herself. She'd dreamed of
this, of finding him again so many times in the last several
months. There wasn't a day that had passed that she hadn't
thought of him and wondered if he had survived. Somehow she knew
he was alive because she could feel him. She'd waited for him to
find her for the first couple months and then just clung to hope
that she'd find him. Oh how could she tell him that it was
because of him that she'd even managed to keep herself alive.
She had wanted to give up after those things had separated them.
They had over powered her and carried her off. It was shear luck
that she was eventually able to escape. No...she couldn't tell
him all of that. She is just going to enjoy being back by his
side and pary it never has to change. She is safe now, she
reminds herself. Those things aren't coming for her now. She
looks up at Nightshade and smiles while her hands seem fidgety.
She can feel the warm rising in them and closes her eyes for a
moment to calm herself and get her power under control. Right
here, right now is not the time for starting fires...well at
least not physical ones. She scolds herself mentally.
Tohri: When I woke up this morning I had no clue that I'd
finally be reunited with you today. I'm so glad. Today is a good
day.

Nightshade smiles back at her. He presses the call button for
the elevator. While waiting, he thinks about old memories. He
thinks of Tohri and the incident about a year ago, with the
minions. He thinks about his taking a liking to Tohri...which he
never ended up mentioning. He knows his feelings toward her
haven't changed...but this time around, he's hesitant. He
doesn't know if he wants to enjoy the moment and not risk
pushing her away...or to come clean and risk losing the only
friend he's ever confided in. That's still around, anyway. He
shifts from foot to foot, and finally the elevator door opens.
He's glad for the distraction from his thoughts. He looks at her
and smiles when he hears what she said.
Nightshade: Yeah. Today was the first day I've truly enjoyed
in...awhile...I'm overjoyed that we're reunited...I had hoped
and hoped, and my dream came true...but back to the present...
Nightshade is glad he stopped himself before he got too close to
the fact that he has feelings for her, but doesn't show this. He
only looks like he has something he wants to say. He dismisses
it and smiles.
Nightshade: ...so, ladies first?

Tohri smiles at Nightshade wondering if maybe...nah better not
think like that she tells herself. But she can't help feeling
safer with him here with her. Nor can she help feeling kind of
giddy. It was a dream come true finding him again and she wasn't
about to let anything separate them again. She'd never admitted
it before but she really did have feelings for Nightshade and
not just the kind one has for a friend. Tohri starts to walk out
of the elevator when she hears someone speaking that isn't
Nightshade. She's so startled that she clings to Nightshade
without realizing it. At least her powers didn't go out of
control that time. She continues to hold onto Nightshade and
looks around trying to see where that voice is coming from and
how he knows her name. She starts to speak but it's in a small
whisper of a voice and with nervous stutter...
Tohri: H...how do you...kn..know my name? Wh...where
are...y...you? I...I have a sword and I w...won't hesitate to
use it.
She continues to hold onto Nightshade while looking around her
nervously. A feeling of fear creeping up in her that makes it
hard to control her powers. She knows that she'd never hurt
Nightshade so holding on to him helps her control those fire
powers. A fire right here would be very bad.

Nightshade looks alarmingly at Tohri. He puts his arms around
her, as a kind of protection. He wonders what startled Tohri.
Then he hears the voice.
Nightshade: Who the hell...
Nightshade remembers the odd man from earlier. What was his
name...Z? No. The guy who helped him...kind of...with the
minions? X. X was his name. That one weird kid who could
teleport and stuff.
Nightshade: You...you're the guy from earlier aren't you? X.
Appear please...you're scaring Tohri. And trust me...you won't
like her when she's scared.
Nightshade looks around, waiting for some sort of response from
X. Then he hears that second line...
Nightshade: You didn't meet anyone on your travels who could do
this? I suppose I'm asking a stupid question, because I don't
think anyone you met on your travels would scare you this
much...but don't worry. X is harmless. I think.
Nightshade looks at her and gives her a reassuring smile.
Nightshade: And if he tries anything...I'll do my best to
protect you. I...
Nightshade looks troubled about saying something. Should he
mention his feelings, and take a risk? He stops the sentence
mid-sentence...unsure of himself...and not very confident. He
looks down, obviously embarrassed. He thinks now's not the
time...considering X is lingering somewhere.

"How will you hurt something you can't see? I'm not going to
harm you, though. I'm just pretty disappointed. I've been with
you the past couple of days, and I must say, truly disappointed

Tohri smiles back at Nightshade and then looks around confused
still. Until today, she's been traveling alone yet this guy says
he's been traveling with her. How could this be? Was she
slipping up more lately? Had those minions that captured her the
last time she'd seen Nightshade messed with her senses? Was she
forgetting her training? Gah...Dad would be disappointed in her
as would the others. She yells at her self mentally to get it
together. Then she looks at Nightshade and feels a strange sense
of being safe. Like somehow she knows he will protect her. And
really what is she worried about. Her powers are fire and she
doesn't necessarily need to see the target as long as he's
talking. She can target the sound. She forces her self to sound
more confident when she again speaks. \
Tohri: Listen X or whatever your name is, I don't know what you
are talking about. I've been traveling alone since I escaped
from some things several months ago. Perhaps I passed you in the
streets or something? One really doesn't know when they can't
see you. So forgive me for not recognizing you when you are not
physically present in my sight. I don't remember the voice but
I'm pretty sure we haven't spoke to each other before. Now
please, if you mean what you say about doing us no harm, please
show yourself. If you can. Or are you afraid?
Tohri now has a confident look on her face. She seems to have
pulled herself together. But why the sudden change? She asks
herself this and actually blushes a tiny bit. She doesn't want
to disappoint her Dad but more over she doesn't want to appear
weak in front of Nightshade. She also wonders what his reaction
will be about her having been taken by those things before. She
hadn't realized she was even saying it until it was too late.
She hadn't planned on telling him yet. She didn't want
Nightshade to feel bad or worry. Well, too late now...it's
already been said and she can't take it back.

X appears, and while his face isn't exactly staying the same
shape, it's morphing.... It turns into... Psych.......

Nightshade looks a bit alarmed at Tohri's revelation...
Nightshade: You were captured? Was it those things? Did they
hurt you? At all?
Nightshade has a worried tone in his voice. He has a worried
look on his face as well. He then realizes how he looks...and
sighs, deciding if she didn't already know he had feelings for
her, she probably knows now. Then X interrupts him. He looks,
alarmed at X.
Nightshade: P-Psych?
He shakes it off.
Nightshade: Hold on, X...or Psych...I have something I should
probably say...
He wonders what her reaction will be...then decides to go on and
tell her himself instead of just dodging around it all of the
time. He takes a deep breath.
Nightshade: I'm glad you're okay...I'm just so
glad...because...well, Tohri...I have feelings for you...like,
more than a friend...
Nightshade looks down, a bit embarrassed, but he figures the
secret's out. He looks up and looks for her reaction to this. He
has a sort of hopeful smile on his face. Maybe she'll return his
feelings? Maybe...but either way...she knows...
