Verochka Stolich-Königin (Silk manipulation, 'Immortal' liver)

Full name: Verochka Irene Stolich-Königin (Verochka=Russian for
Vera/Verity, Stolich=Russian for devil/evil, Königin=German for
Queen/Empress)
Name gone by at the Academy: Verochka Irene Mandasky (see below
for details....)
Age: 17
Physical description:
Red, flowing hair past her waist, green eyes, and a slim build
make Verochka look taller than the 5'9'' that she is. Her arms
have one or two fading scars from her enhancements, and she's
got implants in her wrist to help with the enhancement. She is a
little skinny for her age, but she likes to keep in shape and
eat right so her silk can still support her weight. She usually
keeps her hair down, but when it is up she usually uses silk
hairbands she fashions for herself, from her own silk. As an
aside, she IS naturally bi-lingual, and speaks English as a
third language, although not perfectly. Her prepositions need
work.
Character's Personality/Background Info:
Background info:
Her mother used to work as the Russian ambassador to Germany,
but after re-election and an attempt on her life, left running
as official participant and started work as an aide to the R-> G
ambassador. During a 'home' assignment, she met Verochka's
father, who was currently an aide to the G->R ambassador. They
exchanged contact information for that assignment period, and
when the G->R ambassador didn't run again for re-election,
Verochka's father ran instead. After that, he quickly became
infatuated with Verochka's mother, and vice versa. When they
finally decided to get married, Verochka's mother gave up her
position in the embassy and moved to Germany, although she did
not shed her Russian citizenship.
Verochka technically, therefore, has dual citizenship, although
in terms of her citizenship must choose Russia or Germany at age
18 (I think).
While at the Academy, she goes by a false last name, as much to
keep her background from catching up to her as to keep people
from prying too much into it. This name is Mandasky.
Personality:
As mentioned before, has an artistic flair, and loves design.
Wants to use her silk as material to make dresses when she grows
up, or at least for fabric. Since a short trip to America with
her dad around Halloween time, she always creates intricate
Halloween figures and webs. Over the years since the trip she
has figured out different ways of coloring the webs, although
none seem to have any permanent effects. She is looking to see
if she can find a way to put ink in the silk-sacs themselves
without harming herself in the process.
Recently she's been fighting with her parents about her future.
She wants to go into dress-making and design, with the help of
her silk-producing enhancement. At the very least she wants to
be on a design team or work for a company working on logos and
the like. She is artsy for sure, but not the same way Natalie is
and certainly doesn't flaunt her artistic flair the same way.
Her parents, however, want her to be an ambassador in the
political arena, or at the very least go into politics. They
tell her she has the smarts and enough charm to do it, but she
refuses to be swayed by their arguments. Verochka herself wants
nothing to do with it, as she has seen the results of the
abuse/misuse of the system and also experienced being a target
because of who her father is/ mother was. (Reason for immortal
liver and finger enhancements)
Enhancement (if any):
When she was five or six years old, she had a bout of 'food
poisoning'. That is what the media was told, anyway. What had
really happened is someone intending to slip her father poison
hadn't counted on her taking a bite before it was served. She
almost died. Promptly following recovery, she was taken to get
an 'immortal' liver so that she couldn't ever be poisoned again.
However, she was told to keep the changes silent, as they were
supposed to be a last-ditch defense and not widely known. As she
had issues with that, being as young as she was, she was then
given another enhancement that she got to choose. She had
recently entered into an obsession with spiders/silk, so she
chose silk glands and spinnerettes. Once she stopped growing,
the doctors implanted a small brace on her wrist to help with
controlling the flow of silk out from under her skin and out of
the glands.
She also has silk spinnerets located in both arms. They are
somewhat close to the skin, but are deep enough that trying to
damage them would also damage her musculature. They are
positioned so that if she squeezes certain muscles, silk will
come out. This silk is a rather strong kind of silk, and after a
few layers, Verochka can create a rope thick and strong enough
to hold her weight if she doesn't jerk around too much.
