Room 630: Jasper Evans/Thomas Hutchinson
DIR By: Mascii

She was blond, with her hair pulled back into a loose ponytail,
long strands of her hair pulled out and softening her face. "Hi,
how are you guys doing today? Are you nervous?" She had a
mouse-like voice, and from the first impression it seemed
impossible that she could ever go above that volume level. "Have
you two met? You don't look like you have."
She fumbled with the lock for the door, muttering aloud to keep
the conversation going, "I don't know why they insist on locking
these classrooms all the time. It just makes it harder to get
into all the time, you know? A-lright. Here we go-o..." She
stepped aside to let them enter, holding the clipboard out to
them at the door. "Please don't mess with any of the equipment,
and each of you fills out this questionnaire for the other. Make
sure you put your names on it, as well as your partner's. You
have an hour to answer all the questions, so it shouldn't be bad
at all." The woman tried to crack a genuine smile, but it seemed
more to stress out her face, although she seemed well-intended.
"Knock if you need anything, I'll be right out here. Once your
hour is up, I'll come let you know. Good luck." And with that,
she locked the door behind them.
~~
Since it's higher up, the lecture hall certainly gets warmer
than the rest of the building. However, there are large windows
along the back walls that can be opened when the room gets too
stifling, and it is usually well-lit. The problem with that, is
that it often causes a horrible glare on the screen during the
lecture, so compromises of certain windows must be made,
dependent on the whim of the professor. The seats are very
comfortable in here, and the desks are all clean. Someone left a
half-used eraser on the floor and My Little Pony pencil shoved
into one of the corners of the desk, but little else is left
behind in the room.
Each character takes turns posting, and the characters' goal is
to finish the questionnaire in the hour they are left in the
room together. Your character cannot leave, without explicit
permission. I will let you know when about an hour has passed in
character-time, so don't worry. Cause drama, dig deeply into
each other's character, and have fun!
Here are the first five questions on the questionnaire:
1. Describe yourself in five words.
2. How has your Enhancement changed the way you see yourself and
others?
3. What do you dream about most often?
4. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
5. What are 5 things you want more of right now? (Could be
physical things, characteristics, ideas, anything.)
NOTE: NPC comments and such will be added by me (message if
otherwise needed). My NPC will come in and inform the students
when their time is up.

Jasper Evans
Jasper followed the blonde woman to a lecture hall at the
academy. During English class, many of the students had been
called, in pairs, to go into rooms for an hour. Just two random
people. For an hour. Jasper wasn't sure what his opinion about
this should be. It obviously it wasn't for the enjoyment of the
students though.
"Hi, how are you guys doing today? Are you nervous?" The blonde
woman said, she had a mouse-like voice. Jasper shrugged in
reply. "Have you two met? You don't look like you have." She
said.
Jasper looked at the boy who would be left in the room with
him. He was blond, with blue eyes. He was rather tall. "No,
we've never met before." Jasper said quietly.
She fumbled with the lock for the door, muttering aloud to keep
the conversation going, "I don't know why they insist on locking
these classrooms all the time. It just makes it harder to get
into all the time, you know? A-lright. Here we go-o..." She
handed them each a clipboard and stood to the side to let them
into the room. "Please don't mess with any of the equipment, and
each of you fills out this questionnaire for the other. Make
sure you put your names on it, as well as your partner's. You
have an hour to answer all the questions, so it shouldn't be bad
at all." The woman tried to crack a genuine smile, but it seemed
more to stress out her face, although she seemed well-intended.
"Knock if you need anything, I'll be right out here. Once your
hour is up, I'll come let you know. Good luck." And with that,
she locked the door behind them.
Jasper went ahead and sat down in a nearby chair, and read
through the Questionnaire.
'1. Describe yourself in five words.
2. How has your Enhancement changed the way you see yourself and
others?
3. What do you dream about most often?
4. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
5. What are 5 things you want more of right now?
Well, these aren't too difficult.
When Jasper's name had been called, they had referred to the
other boy as Thomas Hutchinson.
"So, your name's Thomas Hutchinson?" Jasper said, looking
over at the boy. "The first question, 'Describe yourself in five
words',"
'This is going to be interesting.'
"What five words do you think describe you?" Jasper asked.

Thomas "Phoenix" Hutchinson
HTML http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/21300000/Bradley-James-bradley-james-21304408-500-600.png
"Huh?"
Phoenix had been on the edge of dozing off -- or maybe closer
than that -- in English when someone had come in and scooped him
up. He just remembered his name being called, and he'd just
gotten up and followed them. Blinking, he looked around him,
head tilted to the side.
'I have no idea what's going on.'
A small, blonde lady was leading him and another kid into a
lecture hall. "Hi, how are you guys doing today? Are you
nervous?" She had a completely adorable voice, which made
Phoenix smile, the wakeful, flirty side of him starting to wake
up.
"I'm pretty good, darlin'," he said, calmly, his hands in his
pockets as he leaned a bit closer to her. "Not nervous at all."
'Mostly because I have no idea what's going on, but I'm sure
I'll figure it out.'
"Have you two met? You don't look like you have."
He finally looked over at the other kid. Eyes widening slightly,
he took in the sight of the very cute boy beside him, with
fluffy black hair and oceanic true-blue eyes. His cheekbones
could cut Phoenix's toast in the morning, and... was that a
slight trace of five o'clock shadow? Oh, how cute! Phoenix knew
he recognized the face -- how could he forget such a handsome
young man? -- but wasn't sure he'd ever been given a name to go
with it.
The other boy turned to him about now, and seemed to do the same
thing -- who was a bit taller, but not by that much. Phoenix
returned the glance with a pointed wink, but didn't seem to be
getting far because the boy just turned back to the blonde woman
who'd brought them here.
"No, we've never met before," he said, in a smooth, quiet voice.
The lady just continued, fumbling with unlocking the door.
Phoenix stepped towards her, about to offer to help, when she
got it and pushed the door open. She handed a clipboard to each
of them on their way into the room, and Phoenix tried to act
interested -- but he wasn't, really.
"Please don't mess with any of the equipment, and each of you
fills out this questionnaire for the other. Make sure you put
your names on it, as well as your partner's. You have an hour to
answer all the questions, so it shouldn't be bad at all." The
lady put on a smile, but it wasn't convincing -- especially to
one who knew the difference.
Phoenix sent her a grin and a wink, hoping to bring up her
spirits. "No problem, sweetheart," he told her, confidently.
"Knock if you need anything, I'll be right out here. Once your
hour is up, I'll come let you know. Good luck."
"Thanks, dear," Phoenix said to her as she slipped out and
locked the door.
He pivoted on his heel to face the other boy, who had already
gone and found a chair and was reading his papers. Phoenix
rolled his eyes dramatically, grabbed a seat in front of his,
sitting on his knees in it backwards, so he could lean on the
back on his elbows and watch the other boy. Leaving his
clipboard behind him on the chair beside his, he watched the boy
with a smile, his hands on his face, but said nothing.
'So studious... How cute.'
"So, your name's Thomas Hutchinson?" the boy said, looking up at
Phoenix, who felt his heart skip a beat.
Rolling his eyes back a bit, Phoenix sighed dramatically. "Well,
yes, but no one calls me Thomas anymore," he explained,
wriggling a bit. "Everybody calls me Phoenix." He smirked. "What
about you? What do people call you, carebear?"
"The first question, 'Describe yourself in five words'," the boy
went on, pausing for a moment. "What five words do you think
describe you?"
"Hmmm," Phoenix hummed, wiggling a bit, looking up at the
ceiling. "I'd say... happy." He smiled, feeling a little blush
come onto his face. "Friendly." Giggling, he shifted, looking
down at the other boy's shoes. "Curious... Loyal..." He thought
for a moment. "That's only four. Hm." He bit the edge of his
lip, thinking about how he was with the people who were
important to him. "Um... let's go with... self-conscious."
He met the boy's eyes. "How about you, sweet tart?"

Jasper Evans
"Hi, how are you guys doing today? Are you nervous?" The blonde
woman leading them to the room they had told Jasper was where
he'd be locked up with a random kid in his English class for an
hour. Fun. The boy next to Jasper smiled and seemed to no longer
be half asleep. "I'm pretty good, darlin'," The other boy said,
leaning in towards the woman. "Not nervous at all."
"Have you two met? You don't look like you have." The blonde
woman continued. Both boys looked at each other. The boy Jasper
had been paired with was rather tall, with blond hair and blue
eyes. The blonde boy winked at Jasper, who was already turning
his head back to the blonde woman and didn't react much.
"No, we've never met before," Jasper said to their guide.
The woman continued, fumbling with unlocking the door. The
blonde boy seemed to step towards her, about to offer to help,
when she got it and pushed the door open. She handed a clipboard
to each of them on their way into the room.
"Please don't mess with any of the equipment, and each of you
fills out this questionnaire for the other. Make sure you put
your names on it, as well as your partner's. You have an hour to
answer all the questions, so it shouldn't be bad at all." The
lady put on a smile, but it didn't seem to suit her face.
The blonde boy winked and smiled at the woman. "No problem,
sweetheart," he told her, confidently. Jasper was a little
surprised at how bold the other boy was, but if he was lucky
then he would have most of the conversation supplied by the
blonde boy. Which made things significantly easier for Jasper to
deal with more often than not.
"Knock if you need anything, I'll be right out here. Once your
hour is up, I'll come let you know. Good luck."
"Thanks, dear," Jasper's partner replied as their guide left
them alone and locked the door again.
Jasper went ahead and sat down, and the other boy whirled
around to face him. Jasper began reading the questions on his
clipboard. The other boy turned and grabbed a seat in front of
Jasper, sitting on his knees in it backwards, so he could lean
on the back on his elbows. Leaving his clipboard behind him on
the chair beside his, the blonde boy looked at Jasper with a
smile, his hands on his face, but said nothing.
"So, your name's Thomas Hutchinson?" Jasper said, looking up at
the boy, apparently named Thomas Hutchinson. Who rolled his eyes
and sighing rather dramatically.
"Well, yes, but no one calls me Thomas anymore," he explained,
wriggling a bit. "Everybody calls me Phoenix." He smirked. "What
about you? What do people call you, carebear?"
"My name is Jasper Evans." Jasper said. "The first question,
'Describe yourself in five words'," Jasper continued , pausing
for a moment. "What five words do you think describe you?"
"Hmmm," Phoenix hummed, wiggling a bit, looking up at the
ceiling. "I'd say... happy." He smiled, and Phoenix blushed
slightly. "Friendly." Giggling, he shifted, looking down.
"Curious... Loyal..." He thought for a moment. "That's only
four. Hm." He bit the edge of his lip, Jasper wondered what he
was supposed to think about this boys odd behavior, but he
supposed he'd have to wait and see what he thought after the
hour was up. "Um... let's go with... self-conscious."
Phoenix looked up and met Jasper's eyes. "How about you, sweet
tart?"
Jasper raised an eyebrow at being called 'sweet tart' but there
was definitely no one else the other boy could have been talking
to. Jasper stopped for a second, he thought about his sister
Suzanne. She'd described him many times. So he supposed he'd
just go with what Suzanne thought. "Shy, cheerful," Jasper
started. Then mumbled to himself as he looked up at the ceiling.
"I know there were other words Suzanne used . . ." Jasper
thought for a moment. "Bookworm, funny, thoughtful . . ." Jasper
paused and looked back at Phoenix. "I guess that will work, it's
mostly what my little sister tells me she thinks of me, but I
don't suppose it's really cheating or anything like that."
Jasper shrugged and smiled slightly.
"Next question, how has your Enhancement changed the way you see
yourself and others?" Jasper asked. His had made him a bit more
awkward. And had definitely not helped his ability to read
books, usually his Enhancement made people mad or sad,
especially his claws.

Thomas "Phoenix" Hutchinson
Watching the other boy, Phoenix smiled, taking in how well this
boy fit the "tall, dark, and handsome" bit to the T. Maybe he
wasn't a giant, but he was still reasonably tall. His dark hair
and pale skin were absolutely _delicious_. The bright eyes, the
defined cheekbones, the absolutely _adorably_ big ears... So
absolutely perfect.
"So, your name's Thomas Hutchinson?" the boy asked, looking up
at him.
Phoenix showed his disapproval of the plain name openly. "Well,
yes, but no one calls me Thomas anymore," he told him, squirming
happily at the boy's careful attention. "Everybody calls me
Phoenix." He smirked. "What about you? What do people call you,
carebear?"
"My name is Jasper Evans."
Phoenix beamed. "Jasper?" He giggled. "That's a cute name!"
Pausing, Phoenix put a finger under his chin. "Hmm, do you like
the nickname Jas? Or Jaspy? J-per? Jayjay?" Phoenix looked into
the boy's eyes, leaning forward, his voice going low and sultry.
"Blue Jay?"
The boy seemed unfazed. "The first question, 'Describe yourself
in five words'," Jasper said, and Phoenix let out a loud, pouty
sigh. "What five words do you think describe you?"
"Hmmm," he hummed, looking around for a distraction. "I'd say...
happy." Jasper's face lit up just a bit with a smile, and Phoenix
felt a blush brighten his own face. "Friendly." Giggling, he
shifted, looking down. "Curious... Loyal..." He thought for a
moment. "That's only four. Hm." Phoenix bit the edge of his lip,
noting how Jasper seemed to just be watching him with almost no
reaction. What was it? Was he being strange? This was how he
always acted... Taking in a small breath, he finished with,
"Um... let's go with... self-conscious."
Meeting Jasper's eyes again, he tried to see what the boy was
feeling but failed. "How about you, sweet tart?"
The slow raise of Jasper's eyebrow made Phoenix laugh. 'Cutie,'
he thought to himself, watching the boy think. "Shy, cheerful,"
Jasper said, his voice low and careful. Adding in a quieter
voice, looking away, "I know there were other words Suzanne
used..."[/b] Phoenix shifted in his seat, moving to scribble
down what Jasper was saying, looking back every few seconds to
not miss the boy's expressions. "Bookworm, funny, thoughtful..."
Phoenix giggled. 'And number six: absolutely handsome.' Jasper
looked over at him, and he met the boy's eyes. "I guess that
will work, it's mostly what my little sister tells me she thinks
of me, but I don't suppose it's really cheating or anything
like that." Jasper shrugged, a little smile creeping onto his
face that made Phoenix beam.
"I don't think it's cheating," he said, reaching up to poke
Jasper in the leg. "I think it's.... um.... utilizing sources."
He winked. "It's smart!"
"Next question, how has your Enhancement changed the way you see
yourself and others?" Jasper asked, and Phoenix laughed.
"Damn, baby, slow down! Give it some romance!" he teased,
turning around in his chair again and kicking his feet. "Let me
think..." He paused, the joy leaking from his face a bit.
"Well... my Enhancement came with a whole new body... I guess...
It makes me feel beautiful." He put on a smile again. "I know
some people think I'm kind of fake... and maybe sometimes I am,
but my Enhancement makes me strong. It makes me believe I'm
worth it, you know? Dr Ramsey worked really hard to make sure
I'd never get hurt or sick again. Super skin and armored
insides," he paused to giggle, "it's kind of epic, isn't it?"
Reaching over to poke Jasper in the leg again, he pouted his
lips. "So, cutie patootie, what about youuu?" He tilted his head
to the side. "What is your Enhancement? Super human good-looks?"
Winking, he grinned a sultry, crooked grin. "I don't think it's
fair for the rest of us, you know."

Jasper Evans
"My name is Jasper Evans."
Phoenix beamed. "Jasper?" He giggled. "That's a cute name!"
"Mmmhmm" Jasper hummed. Phoenix stopped for a second, touching
his finger thoughtfully to his chin. "Hmm, do you like the
nickname Jas? Or Jaspy? J-per? Jayjay?"
Phoenix leaned forward toward Jasper and his voice lowered
considerably. "Blue Jay?" Jasper looked at him and chuckled
under his breath. "How about just Jasper for the moment? We
might want to get these questions over with and then worry about
nicknames." He didn't mean to sound rude, but he had a reason
to want to get home soon.
Jasper looked back down at the paper. "The first question,
'Describe yourself in five words'," He said, and Phoenix let out
a loud, pouty sigh. "What five words do you think describe you?"
"Hmmm," he hummed, looking around for a distraction. "I'd say...
happy." Jasper smiled a little, and Phoenix blushed slightly.
Jasper thought about how often his little sister made similar
faces, perhaps that was why the boy seemed so likable. Because
he somehow reminded Jasper of Suzanne. "Friendly." Giggling, he
shifted, looking down. "Curious... Loyal..." He thought for a
moment. "That's only four. Hm." Phoenix bit his lip and seemed
to be slightly upset about something. Jasper wondered if it was
that he was looking at him, maybe it was upsetting him.
Jasper looked down at the paper and wrote Phoenix's answers down
carefully."Um... let's go with... self-conscious." The boy
finished.
"How about you, sweet tart?" This made Jasper look back into
Phoenix's face in spite of himself, slowly raising one eyebrow.
Then Jasper looked back at his papers, writing the last answer
down, then traced light lines on the paper, amusing himself as
he considered his answers by sketching the blond boy, barely
finishing the basic lines before deciding upon an answer. "Shy,
cheerful,"
Jasper's voice was rather low and quiet, but the silence and
emptiness of the room made it seem louder. Thinking aloud and
not expecting the other boy to care much about his whispers. He
mumbled, "I know there were other words Suzanne used..."
The other boy hurried to write down Jasper's answers. He kept
looking up meanwhile though, which served to make Jasper hurry
and continue.
"Bookworm, funny, thoughtful..." Phoenix giggled, Jasper had no
idea why. Jasper looked over at him, and he met the boy's eyes.
"I guess that will work, it's mostly what my little sister tells
me she thinks of me, but I don't suppose it's really cheating
or anything like that." Jasper shrugged, a little smile creeping
onto his face that made Phoenix beam.
"I don't think it's cheating," he said, reaching up to poke
Jasper in the leg. "I think it's.... um.... utilizing sources."
He winked. "It's smart!" Jasper just wanted to get this hour
over with. Not because the boy didn't seem friendly or nice,
but... Suzanne would probably be waiting at home by the time
everything was finished for the day at the Academy. And he hated
making her wait, especially if she happened to be in a mood that
she would decide to make him 'an after school snack' which
usually didn't get done until ten minutes before dinner. "Next
question, how has your Enhancement changed the way you see
yourself and others?" Jasper asked, and Phoenix laughed.
"Damn, baby, slow down! Give it some romance!" Phoenix said,
turning in his chair and kicking his feet. "Let me think..."
He paused, the joy leaking from his face a bit.
"I'm sorry?" Jasper said questioningly. "I'm just worried that
this hour will mean that my little sister is at home waiting for
me. She is usually upset when I'm fifteen minutes late, but an
hour might bother her." Jasper said, looking down at his shoes
awkwardly. "I don't like seeing Suzanne upset, then I'm
upset.""Well... my Enhancement came with a whole new body... I
guess... It makes me feel beautiful." Phoenix smiled again,
which proved infectious with Jasper. And he smiled back as he
wrote down the answer. "I know some people think I'm kind of
fake... and maybe sometimes I am, but my Enhancement makes me
strong. It makes me believe I'm worth it, you know? Dr Ramsey
worked really hard to make sure I'd never get hurt or sick
again. Super skin and armored insides," Jasper paused writing,
and looked up into the other boy's face.
'Fake? I don't see it. You just seem a little odd, but that's
okay. What makes you think you need to justify "feeling
beautiful"?'
Phoenix seemed to brush off any charges of being "fake" and
giggled. "it's kind of epic, isn't it?" Jasper smiled openly.
"Yeah, I can understand why something like that could make you
feel good about yourself." It was a bit of a mumbled response,
and probably didn't sound very genuine. But he meant it. He
really did.
Phoenix poked Jasper in the leg again, Jasper wasn't sure why,
but decided to ignore that. Phoenix pouted his lips. "So, cutie
patootie, what about youuu?" He tilted his head to the side.
"What is your Enhancement? Super human good-looks?" Winking,
Phoenix grinned crookedly at Jasper. "I don't think it's fair
for the rest of us, you know."
Jasper outright laughed at that. "No, if my enhancement was
something as wanted as that I might be able to deal with it
better." Jasper continued to smile at the boy. Jasper raised his
hand and struck out at the air, carefully making sure that the
boy was out of the way before doing so, showing Phoenix his
hands.
"My hands have been revised so that they can let me climb much
better, and I have a better digestive system, so that it can not
only avoid, but often feed off of poisons." Another laugh from
Jasper. "My little sister was learning about koalas in her
school shortly before I got my enhancement, so that's what it
was based off of. It sort of started with her making the
comment, 'and they have these huge, adorable ears. Just like
you, Jasper!' and moved on from there." Jasper said. He realized
that he should probably not spend all of his time in this room
talking about how adorable he thought his sister was, and moved
on.
"Well, I guess my enhancement hasn't really made me view anyone
differently. Except for maybe with slight understanding, at
first I thought that it was insane to implant things into other
people. But now I guess..." He had to stopped to think about it.
"I understand that it can make people feel special, and like an
outsider to normal people. So, since getting my Enhancement I've
learned about the good and bad sides of it. As uninteresting as
that may sound. " Jasper chuckled under his breath again.
Looking down at his paper and wondering how much more he would
have to tell Phoenix.
'
1. Describe yourself in five words.
2. How has your Enhancement changed the way you see yourself and
others?
3. What do you dream about most often?
4. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
5. What are 5 things you want more of right now?' He read again.
'I'll take that as, a lot more information I'll have to share
over the course of this hour.'
