Alice listened as the conversation between Tenium and the
professor went on. There was only one pokemon left on the table
and that was the Chespin. That would be an easy pokemon to
battle and challenge once she was out of the building, but
Tenium had two pokemon... she would need to hurry to catch a
second in order to challenge him without fear of losing. A fire
type can easily wipe out that grass type, but Alice was worried
about the Abra. Alice couldn't wait to put this kid in his place
though and make sure he knew that he couldn't challenge her.

The Professor shook her head."Oh Tenium i already know you have
Abra but every trainer that starts in kalos receives a Pokemon
from kalos to accompany them on their journey. so unlike
everyone else here you will be starting with two. So will you
accept Chespin from me to join you?" She picked up the poke-ball
from the dais. "Now this Chespin is a bit Resilient and might be
a handful for you, and if that wraps up you trainers receiving
your Pokemon let us document your Trainer I.D's and get you
started on your journey!" The professor spun around after
handing the remaining poke-ball to Tenium and with a push of a
button the top of the dais spun on an axis revealing 4 Pokedexs
sitting on the dais.

Alice reached up to grab one of the pokedex. It was bright red
with a blue circle in the top left corner with three small
lights- red, yellow, and green along the top. She opened it to
see a screen in the middle as well as some buttons. Alice's
excitement started to grow and was getting anxious to catch and
train more pokemon.

Tenium waited until the other two trainers had grabbed their
pokedex to reach up and grab one. This moment is what he had
been waiting for. As he was inspecting his new device the bulb
flashed. Tenium blinked away the sudden flash and looked around.
apparently he wasn't the only one this had happened too.

Alice was almost startled by the flash. "What does this mean?"
she asked.

The Professor replied "That was just the Pokedex taking your
picture so that we can get your information into the kalos data
base. Well each of you hand me your pokedex so we can get this
finished and you all can start your adventure." Tenium
immediately outstretched his arms so that the Professor could
take his pokedex.

"I might look a little surprised in my photo," Alice said as she
handed over the pokedex.

"Oh don't worry about the picture it uses very advanced
rendering technology to cast a 3D image of your head to generate
a picture. You will look however you please and can even change
what facial expression you're giving in the picture." The
Professor possessing all three pokedex went to another device in
the corner of the room and one by one inserted each dex into a
device. The device chimed after each one inserted "Trainer Alice
Debois, Trainer number 17456. Trainer Theodore Laurent, Trainer
number 45769. Trainer Tenium Florestall, Trainer number 72427."
After pulling the last dex had been registered the Professor
turned back to the young trainers. handing each their respective
dex the professor brought a finer to her lips once more. "Well
im pretty sure i handed you back the right pokedexs... But to be
sure open them up and check."

Alice opened up hers to see her name, photo, and new trainer ID
on the screen. "Mine is correct Professor."

Theodore opened his pokedex as well. "Mine too is correct
Professor." Tenium looked into the scree of his pokedex, a range
of emotions overcame him as he began to shout excitedly at his
abra showing off his new device and rambling on about the
properties and significance of it. Tenium took a little while
before his attention was once more returned to his surroundings.
"Does this mean that i am finally a Pokemon Trainer and i am
ready to begin my journey." The professor smiled. "Why yes it
does mean you're ready. but you won't get very far without the
best tool that every trainer needs. Can any of you guess what
this is?" She looked around the room at the young trainers.
