Tenium sat nervously off to the side of the lab, "notebook...
check, extra pens check, extra notebook check. thank goodness i
decided to bring an extra one, Kalos is a big region and im sure
to find a great deal of rare and interesting Pokemon." Tenium
looked up again and scanned across the room, several trainers
had all gathered in Professor Augustine Sycamore's lab to
receive their first Pokemon. but Tenium knew that he was here
for a completely different reason. he had been flown in by his
esteemed family to receive a pokedex to aid in the research of
the Pokemon of the region under the tutelage of the Professor.
one Trainer in particular had caught his eye but she was lost in
the bustle of trainers before he could get a good look at her.

Alice stood leaning against a wall with her hands tucked away in
her denim blue shorts. She scanned the room at her competition
in Professor Sycamore's lab. Not a single one looked too
intimidating. She had to admit she was nervous still. Alice had
a family of Pokemon Trainers to live up too. She had already
researched all the Pokemon here in her home area, Kalos, and was
certain which Pokemon type she would choose as her starter. She
was born and raised to be trainer and to be one of the best.

The commotion started to grow within the lab as one of the
trainers started to complain. "Come on the day is wasting away I
just want to register my pokedex into the kalos league so i can
start my Pokemon journey!"
Around the room a chorus of agreement rang out, "Most of us
aren't even here to get our first pokemon." "Yeah so what is
taking so long?"
A cough came from the entrance to the lab standing there was
professor Sycamore. "I assume you all have been waiting for me"

Alice waited patiently to hear what the professor was going to
say next, but stopped folding her arms and looking like a
misfit. SHe perked up and was ready to impress, hoping the
professor would call on her first to get her Pokemon. Alice was
excited to meet her new best friend.

"All right everybody I want you to form two line, The first is
everybody who is here to register their Pokedex in the Kalos
League and therefore generating your trainer I.D. you will be
assisted by my assistant. And everybody else who is here to
receive their first Pokemon and Pokedex will be following me
into another room."
The crowd bustled and hurried placing themselves into two
separate Lines. the longest being that for trainers only here to
register their pokedex, and a much shorter one dedicated to new
trainers.
Tenium stood awkwardly off to the side as all of the trainers
pushed and shoved to get into their respective lines, slowly
putting his belongings away Tenium just sat and watched the
proceeding.

Alice rushed to be first in line to receive her pokemon, but
some taller and fatter boy shoved her aside. Alice balled her
hands up into fists and took a deep breath before saying, "Touch
me again and see what happens marshmallow boy."

Tenium watched the girl he had caught sight of earlier in the
crowd as she rushed to get her spot in the line for new
trainers, a few profanities were spat between the trainers but
nothing else had caught his eye. just as he was turning his
attention back to his belongings he felt a tap on his shoulder.
Standing behind him was a man in a lab coat wearing completely
black glasses. "Greetings young trainer, i assume you're the
young man named Tenium. My name is Clarence and i was told by
the professor to escort you with the rest of the new trainers
receiving their first Pokemon and getting their Pokedex." Tenium
replied while stretching out his hand "Very nice to meet you
Clarence, I am Tenium but i am not receiving a Pokemon from the
professor. I am just here to get a pokedex and begin my journey
throughout Kalos" the Assistant laughed "Oh I know young trainer
but we do not issue new pokedex here with the trainers who are
registering the ones they already have. it'll be quick and
harmless just follow me" As Clarence began walking towards a
door on the far side of the lab Tenium grabbed his belongs and
followed hastily, But he stopped and dropped his bag on the
floor as he started searching for his Abra he looked around
twirling in a circle before he felt a slight tug from his
jacket. Perched in his usual spot sitting on top of the fanny
pack on Teniums waist hanging out of his sweater that was only
zipped up halfway, sleeping soundly Abra was where it was
supposed to be.

The boy turned to Lilly, his face red. "What did you call me?"
"You heard me. Just watch yourself." Alice had calmed down but
kept staring him down, not willing to back down.
The boy looked like he started to sweat. "Okay, sorry."

Tenium entered a room surrounded on all side were displays of
some sorts, some displaying Pokemon pens and others rooms
located throughout the professors lab. In the middle of the room
was a dais and located on it were three poke-balls. Tenium
stared around in wonder at everything going from one monitor to
the next oohing and ahhing. the assistant laughed at the young
boy hurriedly rushing around the room to gaze at everything.
"Now feel free to study and inspect the room but i will ask you
to not leave the room via any other door than the one you had
entered from." Tenium was too distracted pulling a notepad from
his pack and hurriedly jotting down notes for future reference.
Professor Sycamore approached the smaller group of trainers
after sorting the two line. "So if i have this correct you must
be Theodore?" She said pointing to the large kid "and you must
be Alice." she exclaimed pointing to the red headed girl in
line. The professor brought a finger to her lips scrunching up
her face she looked concerned. "There is supposed to be a third
trainer starting their journey today, i wonder where he is, Well
without further adieu let me introduce myself. I am esteemed
Pokemon researcher and Professor Sycamore and today you will be
becoming brand new trainers and receiving the Pokemon that will
be your best friend and traveling buddy for your time in the
kalos region. So why don't you two follow me and we will bring
you into the room where you will be meeting these new friends of
yours." She motioned for the two young trainers to follow her.
