Dangling off of his shoulder and swaying her arms as Loren
walked, she relaxed. “Not much of a story to tell. I got bored
of the forest and left.” Ithilwin wasn’t too keen on sharing too
many details yet, but felt like he could see through her lie.

Loren chuckled "Yeah. Okay." He decided not to ask anymore
questions, clearly she's not drunk enough to spill her secrets
and she has secrets, that much is obvious. The long walk in
silence bored Loren. Even Kernous was bored and had decided to
sleep on Loren's shoulder. Hopefully this woman won't do the
same, he thought. More than a few times Loren had to remind
himself of the compromising position the female was in and he
adjusted his hand, making sure to stop it from finding its way
too far up the woman's legs. Eventually, they came to the foot
of the tree housing the outpost. "Okay. Here we are" Loren spoke
as he slid her down on to her feet. Being that she was right in
front of him he marked their height difference and her eyes.
Purple. Strange.

“Been a while since I have slept in a tree,” she said. “Thank
you by the way.” Ithilwin looked at Loren as if asking him to
lead the way.

Loren stood for a while, not registering her reply. He just
stared at her like trying to open a locked door just by staring
at it hard enough. His senses returned quickly and he shook his
head "Uh, yes sorry I uh, it's this way." Loren climbed the tree
with finesse but it wasn't until he looked down that he realised
she wasn't following. "Do you need a rope to climb? It might be
safer given your, uh, state of mind"

Ithilwin proudly put her hands on her hips. “I never forgot how
to climb.” In an attempt to prove her point, she began climbing
the tree but definitely not with the same grace as Loren.

Loren struggles to stifle his laughter watching her attempt to
climb. He decides to save her the embarrassment and starts
getting things ready inside. He starts the fire, he makes sure
there's something to eat and drink and that there are furs ready
for sleeping. Loren awaits her arrival.

Ithilwin arrives, nearly stumbling over herself. “See? I still
got it!” She paused for a moment and for a second almost lost
her smile. This was the first time in a long time she has been
around another elf.

"You could use some practice. What kind of a Wood Elf neglects
trees?" A look of concern and almost sorrow washes over Loren's
face. He turns away and continues cooking, eventually settling
to just stare at the flames.

In a desperate attempt to avoid the conversation, Ithilwin asks,
“What are you cooking?” She walked over to Loren and out a hand
on his shoulder while peeking around him to watch.

Loren's startled by the hand touching him, not expecting anymore
physical contact after the journey here, "Uh, it's rabbit and
potatoes. It's part of a scout's duty to make sure to keep the
outposts stocked with fresh meat and vegetables in case an elf
gets lost and has to use these places to stay overnight." An
awkward silence begins to settle. "So, do you visit Riverrun
often?" Loren asks nonchalantly but quickly slips in a quieter
question "how can you stand to be around humans?"
