Sophia finished the email and sent it. She packed the paperwork
back into her bag and shut down her laptop. She quietly sat,
drinking the rest of her second coffee.

Austin and his band are at the club he works at - he was able to
convince his boss to let them play a few songs. It is a bit
late, but he's wide awake due to the two coffees he had earlier
in the day. He was waiting for his friend Mikey to tune his
electric guitar.

Sophia was sitting at the bar, drinking a beer. She listened to
her friend go on and on about married life. It pretty much went
in one ear and out the other.

Patrick* takes the guitar from Mikey and nods his thanks, moving
the guitar strap over his neck to rest comfortably. He looks
over at the rest of his band members and they all appeared to be
ready, so he approached his microphone. "Uh hey, my name is
Patrick. We're going to play a couple of songs for you tonight."

anything to distract her from her friend.

Patrick takes his guitar pick from his pocket and waits for the
drummer to count, then starts playing the intro to the sound. He
begins to sing a minute in.
