Sophia checked her watch and decided to take her first break
before the band came in. She grabbed her laptop, along with some
paperwork and put it in her satchel. Her phone buzzed and she
read through the email as she walked out of the building and
down to a small cafe on the corner.

Patrick decides to call up the drummer in his band, his best
friend, for a bit of help. "Hey, I'm having a sh*tty day and I
need you to come over. Don't worry about it, just get over here
alright? Thanks." He hangs up the phone after the brief
conversation.

Sophia ordered her usual and sat down on the corner booth. She
took her laptop out, resting it on the table. She turned it on
and started typing out the paperwork in front of her.

Patrick crosses over his legs in a bit of a slump as he pulls
his notebook into his grasp. He clears the back of his throat
with a cough, and starts to attempt - yet again - to warm up his
voice. It seems to be going well.

Sophia thanked the waiter who delivered her coffee. She took a
small sip, continuing to fill out and type up paperwork. She got
out her headphones and listened to some sample songs a band had
given her.

Patrick starts to get up but stops as he realises that his
drummer, Travis, has a key. At least he thinks that Travis has a
key. It doesn't really matter anyway, he needs to keep warming
his voice seeing as it's early in the morning and he doesn't
feel decent. He starts to think maybe he should have slept in
another hour.

Sophia opens a small notebook she carries with her and wrote
down notes about each song and how they could be improved or
suggestions for lyrics. She took another sip from her cup of
coffee.

Patrick skims through his notebook until he finds the particular
song he uses before he sings live. He is feeling a lot better
now, so he is able to sing it /to what he considers good/.

Sophia finished her coffee and ordered another on with a cookie.
She flicked through some of the paperwork until she found what
she was looking for. Sophia studied the piece of information
before typing up an email with the details of the paperwork.

Patrick picks up his guitar again as he's more confident with
himself, taking a guitar pick in his fingers. He plucks at a few
strings to check if it was still tuned, then plays one of his
favourite songs off by heart. As soon as he is finished, someone
- he assumes is Travis - knocks on his front door.
