Thanks for the pictures, Fragrance. I am gob smacked at how the
cameras studied faces of the guests. :(
The church was beautiful with the carpet of wreaths. The
flowers were an amazing tribute.
The choir was sweet and the red casket robe looked so much like
a letter H.
As lovely as the intimate service was I can't help but think of
how theatrical this funeral was with so few guests.
It is a comfort for the grieving to have their loved ones near.
I find it strange that, for example, nieces and nephews and
close friends of the grandchildren were not able to experience
the funeral should they have wished to attend. I guess they
watched it on TV.

I watch some videos on you tube,
Constantine looked so so frail , my god it took him, Anne Marie
and a uniformed helper every thing to get up the steps. I can
only think he must have had great time for his brother in law to
make such a effort.
Alex hair is too long and she looks old , I actually didn’t
recognize her at first .
Having the family arrive last is alien to me , here a family is
in place early so people can condole with them , if you arrived
after everyone else they’d be talk you must have been in the pub
.
Daisy was holding it together well for the most part.
Fred was as well , I am perplexed by Mary and him as there isn’t
a flow to them . She put out her hand and he held it as if all
hands were crossed in a group and everyone was linked. I know he
is the king to be but I will never understand why he doesn’t let
Mary get out and get into the car in the nearest door.
Marie was heartbroken and so was Joachim which for him I
thought he’d would have held it better. Kids were all great.

Did Alex get her lips done , she looked rough at the funeral
today.

Yes, the video at the end showed the family are all in tears as
the pallbearers approach to take the coffin away, which the
camera then turned away to focus elsewhere perhaps to not show
the family crying their eyes out.
I just wanna hug Bonbon cos she was crying from start to finish.

I thought the service was lovely and very personal...the
minister's eulogy must have included some stories that were
especially personal to Marge and Fred because they shared
several smiles during it. He mentioned Henrik's two children by
name, without the "prince" appellation, and also said something
about "grandpapa" so obviously there was something in it for the
entire family. A nice touch. Today I read that the memorial
wreaths and flowers sent by friends, family, and others were put
on the floor of the church by one of Henrik's last requests. It
seems that during the toast he made at his and Marge's wedding,
he said when he first arrived in Denmark he was surprised by all
the lovely flowers he found everywhere in the country but the
loveliest flower of all was his bride. He wanted his funeral
flowers laid out like a flower garden to remind Marge. Sweet.

Very poetic and very Henri + he got the last word, but in such a
sweet way.
ALL the grandchildren were very, very sad and they all behaved
exemplary.

Translation
“For me and my family, it has been deeply moving to experience
the warmth and sympathy that has flowed from all parts of Danish
society in connection with Prince Henry’s death and funeral.
“The many beautiful flowers spontaneously laid down at the
places where the Prince was, the many thousands of people from
near and far who braved the winter cold to show the Prince their
respects in the castle church and the countless written
sympathetic expressions we have received, has touched us all
deeply and is instrumental in helping us through this difficult
time.
“For all these beautiful testimonies of devotion and compassion,
I and my family wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all the
Danish people.”

A rag mag in Sweden has a very offensive article and front page
about the Danish royals.
On the front page it reads: Margrethe´s revenge over Henrik
And: Frederik hated his father
In the article it says that Margrethe was smirking at Henrik´s
coffin.
Really all below the belt. The magazine (an Aller one) has tried
to excuse it to the royal family.

What a horrible mag, you can see from the Xmas costume party
pics, right down throughout the years that the couple remained
in love and lust with each other . I’m sure like a lot of you
married a long time , what bothers you at 25 won’t take a tack
out of you at 40 . What you’d cause a week of argument and
another week of silent treatment a year or two into a marriage
would barely raise a fuck off 10 years later. Why , because the
old saying come live with me to know me , and Marge and Henrik
knew each other and balanced each other out.
As for Frederick , I doubt he hated his father , it’s alright
not to be close to a parent , like siblings sometimes you just
don’t gel with a parent , sometimes both parents. Fred has a lot
of grown up to do . He is probably the opposite of his father
and a very lenient slighty absent parent . He seems to like his
own space and activities.
