So nice to have that thread back!
Saturday I took a cooking class to make foie gras. Hope this is
not going to offend anyone as I know that some people can be
       very touchy about that subject.
Two years ago I made foie gras at home but I was curious to see
if there are little tricks to learn. It turned out that I
followed the proper steps the last time. It's actually quite
simple to make. Key is the right amount of salt and pepper,
prepare it quickly and cook it at the right temperature. The fun
part of the course is that they explain why you do things and
what else you can do with it.
Have you participated in cooking classes?

if there is a non cruel way to make foie gras that shan't be
offensive and we may like to learn some of that. there was just
the issue with the swiss parliament declining to forbid the
import of goods made through cruelty to animals.
we could cook veg. ;D any good recipies?

We should definitely share veggie recipes. I mostly eat
vegetarian anyway, I like meat less and less, I hardly eat any.
My husband depends on meat, but sometimes he urges me to make a
veggie dish for us, so he actually likes it. ;D

:D cheeky husband. i just bake the veg with feta and sweet
paprika powder and olive oil. it's the quickest when you've been
working 10-12 hours on your feet.
       bad woman. :D

:D ok, ta, lovely. enjoy! rosemary stick in it is also nice.
i thought easy was frowned upon. what about spoon biscuits with
marscarpone and fruit. no coffee. no chocolate powder. does
anyone have a phlilips air fryer?

i do lots of veggies pretty much the same way: put them on a
tray for the oven, sprinkle with olive oil, a little bit of
pepper, then bake. when they're done, I sprinkle some fleur de
sel on them and that's that.
super easy and applicable for most veggies. my last discovery
was oven-baked cauliflower. couldn't be more delicious.
will have to try out the feta version! thanks Tiger.

mmm cauliflower. i use that with brocoli and béchamel sauce and
cheese and paprika and lemon juice and white wine. in the oven.
is that what you meant with bake over?
perhaps we should mention wine more, so that the others can find
us. some leave bread crums we leave wine drops :)
