From what I see of Canada, I like it a lot too. But I have
Canadian friends who are LESS than thrilled with a multitude of
things in their country.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!! You hear about this ALL the time! Disgusting. I
guess you just cannot trust men in matters like this.
People should choose female fertility doctors, just sayin!!!!

We haven't talked about it but I'm sure we've all heard and are
following what's happening in Brazil, with the gigantic fires in
the Amazonas. Just horrific.

Cara, yes. At this point, I cannot take in anymore horrid news.
Arctic on fire, Brazil on fire, seems like the whole planet is
on fire. Greenland Ice melting at a much faster rate than
predicted.
It is all very hard to take in.

not really world news but this was/is a huge case in france.
a man suspected of murdering his wife, their four children and
the two family dogs, has been arrested in glasgow. he had
vanished and it was unclear whether he was still alive or hiding
somewhere. everything seemed to lead to him being the murderer
but there was no certainty.
first news say that he used plastic surgery to change his face.
he was arrested thanks to a tip off and to his fingerprints.

oddly enough, a TV film, which reminded viewers of this case,
was recently shown (i think it was last week) and a mini-series
on this murder case was about to be released on french TV. in
both stories, he was alive and had remarried... (it seems that
in real life he married a woman in scotland)
