Thanks Swash! Wasn´t too bad I think. I am not in Iceland, but I
have relatives there.
The storms can be harsh there, but never as bad as they get them
in the States.

Well, here we go again. Hurricane Michael hit Florida today and
is now moving up the east coast directly toward, you guessed it,
my house in Norfolk, Virginia. I don't know if we'll be lucky
enough to escape being hit by a hurricane twice in one month, so
I'm putting all the lawn furniture back in the garage, bringing
in my potted plants, and stocking up on essentials like bottled
water and batteries for flashlights. I hope our power isn't out
on Friday. I absolutely don't want to miss 'Euge's wedding!

florida. horrendous.

Hurricane update: Thank goodness it was a fast-moving
hurricane. We had horrible winds, but only some rain, last
Thursday night and into early Friday morning. A tree in our
yard was blown down, lots of trees down all over Norfolk, some
power outages that were still being repaired as of yesterday.
Thank goodness we only lost power for a brief couple of minutes,
so I was able to watch 'Euge and Jack get married.

I am glad you were not affected too much. Lots of thoughts to
those who were.
The last week we have had abnormal weather here. Summer
temperatures and we are in the middle of October.

No snow in southeastern Virginia, but COLD weather. It was 16
degrees F at my house this morning!
