Maybe he didn't know she was going to sign autographs until she
started doing it...and then he didn't want to tell her not to do
it while they were in public? Didn't want to embarrass her and
draw attention to it? Just guessing. But as far as I know, no
one in the royal family has ever been seen signing autographs.
To me, it's acting too much like Hollywood celebrities rather
than royals.

Well not to defend her , yesterday I seen a twitter post saying
she wasn’t doing autographs but she wrote a message “hi .......
with a smily face “
Everyone one thinks it’s great Megan is going on engagements
with Harry and breaking protocol, I think it’s mainly because of
her up bring she needs training straight off . She is going to
have a totally different life. Kate had years with William,
Sophie had years with Edward. Camilla grew up within the upper
echelon circle as did Diana and even Sarah did.

spoke with a british friend over the weekend and we chatted a
little about meghan...
she's quite happy that a person of color is joining the royal
finally but she also has a sense that she is not in it for the
right reasons (along the same lines as what's been discussed
here) and that the marriage may not be a lasting one.
