I was away for a few days and came back to find the King's
health had greatly deteriorated. I'm sorry. Say what you will
about Henrik, he and his wife appear to have had a devoted
marriage. And when all's said and done, that's a good legacy
for him. I hope he's aware of his family being with
him...especially his grandchildren. He always seemed to enjoy
them so much.

He probably senses they are there.

Henri has been taken to Fredensborg Castle.
It is his own wish to spend his last time there.
Seems it is a place with good vibes for the royals, queen Ingrid
spent her last time on earth there too.

It is very sad, but at least he can see his dogs now and the
family can be with him in familiar surroundings.
I wish they had protected him from the press the last two years.
At least that they had been more open about his dementia.
All that he said was so unneccessary.

I know this is wayyyy not cool....but I am really curious to
know:
1. Will they revert to original plan for Henrik to be buried
with Marge? If not, we would he be buried?
2. Will Marge abdicate when Henrik passes?

I cannot answer either, there is no talk about any of your
questions.
Personally I think he will not be buried alongside Marge in
Roskilde, but I think he will be buried nearby.
I donīt think Margrethe will abdicate.

I guess it is open to interpretation, by those who know Henrik
best, as to when the dementia started to influence his opinions.
He doesn't seem like a man who would agree and plan for
something easily unless he initially approved.

I hope he's buried with his wife. He obviously was not thinking
normally when he made the statement about not wanting to be
buried next to her. I hate to think that irrational opinion
would be honored over what I suspect he'd want if he were in his
normal frame of mind. Look at it this way...wouldn't the king
want to spend eternity in the fanciest possible tomb? Where the
largest number of visitors could stop by to see him?

I wish it would be that way, and I think the real Henri would
want it. as you say. He never complained for all the years this
was being planned.
But what he said is out there. Everybody heard it.
Wouldnīt it seem disrespectful to him to bury him in place he
said he did NOT want to be buried?
Itīs a difficult one and one of many reasons I wish they had
protected him from the press.
