With all the family there ( bar lil Henrik)I wonder was he
given the last rites. It’s good to bring children and show them
these parts of life as well. Funerals , death , sick people are
all going to be part of life and a lot of people can’t deal with
it as there was a shielding of children and that passes to them
as adults.

I agree with you, Tiger, children should be included also in the
difficult family events.
I don´t know if he had the last rites. Was he brought up
Catholic? He is not a Catholic now having married into the DRF,
but perhaps in his heart he always remained one.
He attended services in the Danish Protestant Church when he had
to, but often he left halfway through and went home or
whereever.
The press here is talking about Henrik as if he already passed
away. I think they should save that for when he actually has
passed. I don´t like that.
There are TVs all over Danish hospitals. One for each patient
and plenty in the corridors and recreational rooms.
I don´t know the state of Henrik, but I certainly wish he
doesn´t hear or sees any of what is being blasted out in the
news all the time.
The family will see and hear it, and that must be difficult for
them.

He was brought up Catholic , his sister Catherine is on her way
to Denmark ,( she is probably there already, she is a nun ) . I
would presume that even though he change religion , ( its the
same god ) I think they would give him the final catholic rite.

I knew his sister was a nun - so I could have guessed, doooh.

As far as the press knows, none of the family is with him now.
They report every coming and going.
Which, by the way, must be very off-putting for them.

It seems Henrik grew up with 8 or 9 siblings, some of whom have
died.
The brother and sister from France remind me of Fred's children
in looks.
I hope their visit lifts Henrik's spirits.

Hope some of Henrik's four legged friends are able to visit him
in hospital.

I am sure he would like that, but I have never ever seen pets in
a hospital!

That's just ghoulish. We all know it's the end, do we really
need to watch the family go thru this. It's hardly newsworthy
IMO.
