maybe she stayed with her children.
i personally think that her kids are too young to be taken to
the hospital. i also think that too many visits is not the best
thing for henrik either at this point
[/quote]
It´s a difficult one. As the youngest child there were many
things I was deemed too young to participate in, but which my
older sisters attended.
It has always bugged me ever since.
I wasn´t at my father´s funeral most importanly, I was 4 when he
died.
I feel I should have been there, I wish I had.
In a way it instilled in me that I was not a oroper person, not
someone to be reckoned with - I guess many younger children feel
this way, because we are treated as such.
But - a difficult one, you do want to protect the young ones.

I get you Abs. I guess that it can be very frustrating when you
are the only one in a family that's concerned.
There's no right or wrong way to do this. Each has to decide for
themselves what's best for the kids but also for the person
that's in hospital care. It could also be that Henrik (the
elder) himself didn't want the youngest one to see him like
this.

While this is a sad time , there will be laughter , smiles and
tears as well. This time last year and the year before as well ,
we were in this situation and I can’t look bad and say it was
dreadfully sad and harrowing . It was long days for a couple of
weeks , we had the craic with funny stories , some parts were
absolutely horrific and horrifying but there is a certain peace
about the whole situation. All anyone wants for loved ones is
for them not to be frightened or in pain. I alway thought Henrik
and Marge had a marriage that worked for them and if she wasn’t
Queen or Queen to be it wouldn’t bother the two of them if they
didn’t had children. But older people have a acceptance on death
and Marge will grieve but she will understand that this is life
and she will steel those shoulders and carry on. For Fred and
Joachim it will be more difficult as childhood feels closer when
a parent dies and it can awaken memories that could cause upset
. Joachim will handle this better than Fred who has a Charles
mentally of blame the parents for everything. Grandkid should
all have very lovely memories and stories as Henrik seemed to
enjoy the role of grandad .
In the end of it all , once we loved and were loved then it was
a successful life.

Fred visited the hospital directly from the airport, allegedly
Margrethe and Mary were with him.
This morning Joachim visited alone.

Poor Henrik.
I hope medication and treatment can ease his suffering and,
hopefully, clear up the infection.
It's a very sad time for his family.

Most of the family left the hospital again.
Have to correct, not the entire close family visited today. They
all did except little Henrik, but Athena, Vincent and Josephine
were there.
Henrik could have the flu, I don´t know, otherwise it seems
strange.

She probably can! They will have a special room for her with
refreshments and tons of ashtrays.

With all the family there ( bar lil Henrik)I wonder was he
given the last rites. It’s good to bring children and show them
these parts of life as well. Funerals , death , sick people are
all going to be part of life and a lot of people can’t deal with
it as there was a shielding of children and that passes to them
as adults.
