Might be they are curious about the oldest royal house in the
world, but somehow I doubt it! I can very well live without them
here!!!
On a more pragmatic note, my take on the reason for this visit
is that Greenland is under Danish rule.
Greenland has a geo-strategic interesting position in the Arctic
plus it has vast amounts of oil, diamonds - all kinds of
valuable stuff in the underground - hard to get to, but it is
there in large amounts.
China has been trying to sweettalk the Greenlanders lately - now
it is America´s turn.
During his visit, Trump will meet representatives from both
Greenland and Faroe Islands. Denmark is not important here other
than those north Atlantic counties are part of the Danish state.

Hehehe, the queen will leave Denmark before Trump leaves, thus
leaving him to Fred and Maz the last day of his visit.
The queen has an engagement in Germany regarding the 100 year
anniversary of the Danish-German border....

Today several serious and reputable news sources wrote that
Trump would be interested in buying Greenland.

Well, that is absurd. Denmark cannot sell Greenland, since it is
not Denmark´s property. Greenland has their own rule, although
it is´part of the Danish state.
This is a horrible situation. Trump won´t understand that and we
will have to face some consequences probably. This actually
scares me - both on behalf of Greenland and Denmark.
Paula Sands, the American ambassador in Denmark, has been in
Greenland quite a bit - there is the explanation for that. In an
ideal world, she should be thrown out of Denmark ASAP and Trump
denied access!

Good Lord!!! Trump cancelled his visit to Denmark because
Denmark is not willing to sell Greenland!
He invited HIMSELF, what a total MORON! There have been massive
preparations for the visit. Trump owes Denmark a huge apology
AND money spent on preparations!
I am livid, he is a brute savage who does not know how to
behave.

And we, Chris, are afraid. Our strongest and closest ally turns
on us. We are practically without protection, I feel.
Denmark has stood shoulder to shoulder with the US in all
conflicts - this is what we get in return.
We have had people come home in body bags, we have war veterans.
This is rather devastating, and I can tell you, the Danes are in
disbelief!
