hats off to David Beckham who stood in line for 12 hours to pay
his respects to the queen, even more so as he turned down an
MP's offer to jump the queue.

Absolutely hats off to DB, I agree.
Here the four siblings stand vigil at their motherīs coffin. You
feel the centuries old history through your bones here! It is
chilling and moving at the same time.
As a side note, I find Anne to have the most gravitas of the
four siblings. She is the real thing, the three brothers seem
somewhat weak, each in their own way. Nothing weak about Anne!

imagine you've queued for hours and you finally enter into
westminster hall and witness QEII's 4 children arriving/standing
vigil. i find it very moving.

Or today when all eight grandchildren stood vigil. I was
particularly moved by that...especially by 14 year-old James
(Edward's son). The whole thing has been very family-oriented
so far, very touching.

The first thing I saw when I watched the vigil was a close-up of
James. For a second I thought it was William back when he walked
behind his motherīs coffin. They look at lot alike. I think.
It is all very moving. The sounds get to me. The steps inside
the hall, the distinct sound of some metal being banged to the
floor, the whispers from the public walking through.
History unfolding under your eyes and ears.

The flowers are so colourful, very fitting for queen Elizabeth.
So sad to lose such a lovely lady and an icon to the whole
world.
