Welcome to the world, baby girl. I wonīt congratulate her
       parents.
I have a problem with both names.

Giving your child a first name that's a nickname is weird. No
surprise that they included Diana. Lily Beth Diana would be more
conventional if they're going to call her Lili anyway. Glad that
       baby girl is doing well.

In case their titles are stripped, the names connect to
       [glow=red,2,300]THE QUEEN[/glow] and [glow=red,2,300]PRINCESS
       DIANA[/glow]. They can monetize that.
That is what those name choices look like to me. They really
cannot underscore the royal connection more.

I canīt help thinking that Harry and Meghan are being abusive to
queen Elizabeth by calling their daughter something as close to
       her as her nickname.
A child the queen, BTW, will probably never see in person.

This naming is so weird. Diana I understand. I get naming your
child after a loved one (my daughter has my late g'ma's name as
a middle), but Lilibet is odd, especially since they've been
trashing the British royals non stop. If they wanted something
       British, Georgina would be pretty.
This woman needs to find our forum. ;D

It might be that Meghan and Harry are trying to suck up to the
queen. Maybe they've finally realized that they've gone
waaaaaay too far over the line and they think if their
daughter's given such a personal name tied directly to the
queen, she'll be flattered enough to forgive them their
insensitive, rude, tacky, selfish, thoughtless (shall I go on?)
       behavior. One is just guessing.

Sucking up to the Queen while sticking it up to the royals at
       the same time?
Showing the royal family that, yes, they can?
Showing how cool and down to earth they are by picking the
nickname, not a formal name, as they did with Archie?

anybody noticed that she did not honor her black heritage?

Yes, noticed there is no nod to Meghanīs black heritage at all.
They talk the talk, but they never walk the walk.
"Archie" was prince Georgeīs nickname, wasnīt it? The name I
think he liked and his nannies used to call him when they were
       out and about.
There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with Meghan and Harry. Even
if they are trying to suck up to the queen, donīt they know that
a nickname is something deeply personal? It is a name given to
an individual because of certain traits - or like in the case
with "Lilibet", the queen couldnīt pronounce her name as a
       child.
They rob something unique from the queen - and from prince
       George.
       _____________________________________________
Have you thought about it, Meghan and Harry are guilty of elder
       abuse?
Her father, Charles, Philip, the queen. All have been or are
being treated horribly by those two.

Welcome to this crazy world, little baby girl.
What on earth did the parents drive to choose this first name??
And why spelling Lili with "i"? Well, they make sure they are
       talked about a lot...
The first name is sweet for a child but when you are grown and
this is your "real" name, might be not too easy. My grandmother
had a first name which was a short name - and til she was really
old she complained on a regular basis about how she had to
explain everybody that this is her full name and not just a
nickname. She never really overcame it.
Just imagine she would be called Princess (don't know if it's
likely), I would immediately think of Princess Lillifee :P
