I don't want to spoil the season, but we finally get Diana. Not
a lot of Princess Margaret, but she has the most growth with her
character and love Tobias as Phil. Emma Corrin is an amazing
Diana.

I saw the first episode of the new season of The Crown. It seems
very promising, I wanted to watch second episode right away -
but hey, gotta sleep!
They did their research. Charles has spent a good amount of time
in my birth country, Iceland, salmon fishing in the rivers. That
was featured in the first episode. Beautiful footage from there.
It has always been very discreet, no fuss about it, no press.
But he went there for years and probably still does.
I have seen some reaction here in Denmark to the way Charles
treated Diana. The comments I have seen are a bit more forgiving
than yours, Jolene! LOL People see him as emotionally
handicapped and that he canīt help it. It comes from his
upbringing.
Will see how I feel about it when i get there. I rather think
about the Charles-Diana marriage as an arranged one. It was not
fair on any of them, a huge, massive mistake.

The one playing Diana seems promising. I think they are all good
in their roles. Going to see the second episode later tonight!

Saw the second one. They are all good - except Thatcher and her
husband - and Helena Bonham Carter as Margaret.
None of those three are good in my opinion, too exaggerated -
the rest is very good.

Watched the third episode. My husband was bored to death. Asked
if the whole season would be about Diana. He doesnīt care much
about her, finds her boring.
I think the episode gave us a good idea what this must have been
like for her. Devastating and depressing.
She should have run away. She could have.
And Charles should not have married her at all, should he?!

Just discovered a German series called Sløborn.
It's airing on ZDF and you can view it on their website
HTML https://www.zdf.de/serien/sloborn
(available between 10 p.m. and
6 a.m. as it is child-restricted). It's only in German but maybe
that it will air or has aired in other countries. I am thinking
in particular of Denmark as the fictional island is located near
Denmark and some characters speak Danish.
The first season was filmed about 1-2 years before the pandemic
hit us... which makes this series so fascinating to me. It tells
of a virus, in the film, a fictional "pigeon flu" virus, very
contagious and deadly. It's symptoms are a light cough, runny
nose, nothing major, like a cold or light fly. It captured
-ahead of time- so many things we go through now: the symptoms,
how you get infected, the masks, the authorities that do not at
first understand what they are facing, try to be reassuring
before taking measures such as schools shut down, people not
allowed to go to funerals, meet, etc.). Just fascinating.

Oh great Abs.
By the way. It's in theory only visible in German speaking
countries but I could watch it using a VPN and indicating
Germany as the region. Hope it'll work for you as well.
