So no can have failed to see the release of their semi “

make yourself rich.

cull a few years back and Andrew pays for the girls . I don’t
think the public will want to pay for self exile non senior
royals.
The house if rent free for senior royals as perk of the job ,
other than senior working royals the others pay rent on their
accommodation and so they’ll have to pay rent . The public will
demand this as well.
The Duchy passes to Will when Charles becomes King. I know he
could still fund the two but as King his out goings will be
under scrutiny more and it’s from the sovereign grant that the
Queen pays out to other members of the family for the work they
do for transparency .
The misuse of the royal titles for profit won’t be tolerated nor
the dipping in to political statements and aligning with any
parties instead of neutral stance.
A rival court in Canada won’t be tolerated, the Queen and Philip
are old enough to remember Wallis and David doing this .
Harry has his trust fund, I’ve never believed Megan is worth $4
million. They take her earnings over the years on suits but she
had to pay a agent ect , swanky apartment, taxes in both USA and
Canada and enjoy a good standa of living.
So take that their worth is £30/35 million. They will need at
least £5 million plus a year to run two houses , holiday , staff
ect but that isn’t in the sphere they want to live in that high
class living.
Any one following royals , as with any famous people the brand
loses value as they age. In a few years George Louis and
Charlotte will be the main three in the press and Harry will be
like Andrew and Edward , known to royal watchers but barely
registered with the wider public.
I cannot see the marriage lasting and I said it before , Megan
is making her mark while she can and setting up her life and
future.

All I can think of is the Clinton foundation, it is a cover to
make themselves as rich as possible. Even when they do divorce
10 /15 million wouldn’t buy the life style for three years
..well the press is baying for blood now.
I do think with divorce wife’s or like the Sussex’s a lesser
title should be used. I know Duchess of York is a surname but
majority of people don’t see it that way so to separate from the
main brand maybe the second title should be use as with Sarah
that would Countess _of_Inverness. The Sussex two could be the
Earl and Countess of Dumbarton. It gives them titles but not
main brand titles .

go and explain to your boss that from now you want to be
financially independant.
to achieve that you will take a step back from your work and
will only show up when it suits you and pick and choose what
want to do. of course he needs to understand that you are
totally entitled to your full salary minus 5%, as a sign of
transparency and goodwill, and all the other perks you are
enjoying (try to get your free housing as well while you are at
it). then also let him know that you will make money on the
side, capitalizing on your business title and on the company's
brand and reputation.

There is no turning back now considering the English press.
Total and savage war….
Question is how interested the US press will be in them at all.
They aren´t that interesting in the first place without titles,
just as themselves.
And as Tiger pointed out, they are getting older. How
interesting were Wallis and Edward to the press in America? I
have no idea.

they walked all over the queen and disrespected her.
ties should be cut with them and all perks, including security
(that should be their private expense) and titles removed which
also means that they could not use the sussex name as a brand.
if they are to receive money from charles, it should come with
restrictions as to what they can or cannot do. otherwise, funds
should be cut.
once it's clear that they are on their own, then they should be
able to market themselves as they see fit.

I so agree, Cara. They want independence - give them
independence!
I hope that Harry has some good lawyers at hand. I can see MeMe
cbanneling funds to herself. I don´t trust her one bit.
Here is an article from the normally royalist, The Times. It is
behind a firewall, but a friend copy-pasted:
That the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should want to “step back”
as senior members of the royal family hardly comes as a
surprise. The couple had made little secret that they were
unhappy with their roles. They have just returned from a
six-week holiday in Canada, prompting speculation that they
might be considering a more permanent move across the Atlantic.
This had followed a difficult year during which Prince Harry
confirmed that his relationship with his brother, Prince
William, had become strained and his wife began an ill-judged
legal action against a national tabloid newspaper. The couple
now say that they intend to divide their time between the United
Kingdom and North America and “work to become financially
independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The
Queen”.
What does come as a surprise is that they should have released
this statement without consulting Buckingham Palace and with so
little apparent thought as to how the new roles they imagine for
themselves might work in practice. Indeed their statement
clearly came as a surprise to the Palace, which subsequently
issued its own terse statement stating that talks with the duke
and duchess were at an early stage. “These are difficult issues
that will take time to work through,” the Palace said. Indeed
they are. Few will blame the couple for wanting to step back
from royal life. Prince Harry has never made any secret of his
dislike of the attention and scrutiny that it brings. He remains
haunted by the memory of the treatment of his mother Diana,
Princess of Wales, and has spoken of fears of the impact of such
attention on his wife. The duchess for her part has suffered
vile online abuse. Their desire to shield their son, Archie,
from similar scrutiny is understandable.
Nonetheless, the duke and duchess’s announcement raises
difficult questions. Their claim to wish to become financially
independent while remaining members of the royal family will
have rung alarm bells at the Palace, which knows only too well
where such mixing of public and private roles is likely to lead.
In particular the antics of Prince Andrew and his former wife
have been a persistent embarrassment. Indeed the readiness of
Prince Harry and his wife to accept lavish hospitality from
wealthy friends has already drawn criticism, whether it be
taking flights on private jets from Sir Elton John or staying a
Vancouver mansion allegedly owned by a billionaire.
Indeed the couple appear to want to have it both ways. Taxpayers
have just forked out £2.4 million to refurbish Frogmore cottage
on the Windsor Castle estate as their permanent home. They also
retain staff based at Buckingham Palace. If they wish to pursue
alternative careers it would be better if they followed the
example of some of their cousins and renounced their royal
status and gave up all royal duties. On the other hand, walking
away completely is unrealistic. Even on their holiday in Canada,
teams of royal protection officers were spotted flying in and
out of Vancouver and patrolling the mansion. The couple would
require royal protection for the rest of their lives.
The announcement carries all the hallmarks of the petulance and
hot-headedness for which Prince Harry is sadly becoming
well-known. This latest outburst appears to have been triggered
in part by anger at recent images released by the Palace that
signalled a shift to a more slimmed down monarchy. This included
a photo of the Queen with Princes Charles, William and George.
Yet given Prince Harry’s own publicly aired frustrations with
royal life, he can hardly be surprised at his exclusion. Nor is
there any doubt that, after recent scandals, a slimmed down
monarchy is in the institution’s own interests. By turning his
back on the Palace, Harry should not be surprised if his
exclusion becomes permanent.

They’ve patent the Sussex brand so as peer it’s a little harder
to take away that title Duke of Sussex but it’s easier to take
away the HRH . So I wouldn’t be surprised that they knew this
and are confident that they’ll stay The Duke and Duchess of
Sussex minus the HRH which to the American audience won’t make a
blind bit of difference.
Leaving Archie in Canada , means they were never going to wait
like the Queen asked , it was a fire ball and run.
Charles will have to be ruthless , as he won’t want the next few
years dealing with Brand Sussex .. there is a feeling they’ve
already aligned themselves with big companies like Disney
I cannot see Scotland Yard funding them , it’s a senior royal
privilege and they don’t want that.
They will have to either vacate the cottage or pay rent and that
could be 100 grand a year.
This seems with the website see up been in the making since
before the wedding. Meme obviously made money from her Trig
website and the firm behind that designed the Sussex new
website.
Surely when the dust settles Harry ( which probably is what the
courtiers have thought since the start ) will wonder was it his
title that made him a target . All this is MeMe , before Harry
she had a small bit of fame , did some charity work and made
money from her website . Now she has major fame , a platform for
some the “woke” causes and now a website that will make her
extremely rich and it will be hers post marriage.

How can they patent the Sussex "brand"?
It is a place, and it is not their place - and it is not a name,
anyway, not THEIR name.
This is all so disgusting, I can´t get over it! What a scheming
little thing she is!

#SussexRoyal. Have to say I love some of the MEME. People are
very witty. Apparently interview with Gayle King is penciled in
to happen soon. The new website has started the PR today so it’s
