And is that JC of Spain in the back corner? If so, I guess the
Queen Victoria connection is what determined who got to stand
guard. JC's grandmother..great grandmother?...was a
granddaughter of QV. But what about Charles?

How about that crazy eyed Russian lady (name escapes me but
she’s the mother of the Romanov “heir”)? How are they related
to Queen Victoria?

Good point, AB. Instead of using Queen V's relations, maybe
they just all drew straws and the losers had to stand guard!

Love the idea of them drawing straws! ;D
Sooooooooo... i guess it's more about how the various royals are
related to King Michael rather than about Queen Victoria...
though she has a big starring role in their genealogical trees.
Grand Duchess Maria of Russia (is that the on?) is related to
Queen V. through her son Alfred. So is Alexander of Serbia.
Charles and King Michael share a great grandfather (Prince
Georges of Denmark, King of Greece).
This week's Point de Vue has actually an interesting (I was
about to say organizational chart ;D) genealogical chart on how
they are all related.
