The new Earl of Snowdon is putting himself for the House of
Lords . 19 Hereditary Lords going for one place.

I don't understand The House of Lords anymore. I understood it
until Tony Blair took an axe to it, but now there are 790
members but only 90+ of them are peers? Where did the rest of
them come from? Are they elected? What does the group do?
They get the fancy chamber and provide a spot for the queen's
annual speech, but is that it? Surely not. ???

Going to watch this I’d say , Margaret was a rose for sure , she
bloomed in beauty for a couple of years only and the drinking
and smoking along with the Windsor genes kick in

Well watched part one last night . There wasn’t anything new in
it. One thing they kept saying about Tony Armstrong jones is
that he was a commoner , he was but he was from those
aristocratic circles . It wasn’t as if he was from a council
estate . He knew how to act , to hold conversation, dress ect .
Also which I’ve heard before , the royal family were
disappointed with the lack of royals in attendance . Majority of
houses sent no one as they felt it wasn’t a grand enough match.

I've always thought she and Helen Kent are the two best dressed
members of the extended royal family. Sarah Chatto's wedding
dress was lovely...simple yet extremely stylish.
