Dan Stevens. Saw him recently in Will Ferrellīs Fire Saga, the
great movie about Eurovision Song Contest. He was so funny and
so great looking, I like him a lot!

OK Cara, I'll watch "The Night Manager" and see if Tom lives up
to my friend's recommendation. He's going to have to be all
that and a bag of chips to replace Hugh "The Aussie Heartthrob"
Jackman in my estimation.

To be honest, i don't think he stands much chance when compared
to "your" Hugh... or to Colin.
The one thing working against Hugh is that he saluted Meghan's
courage to speak up during Oprah's interview... but he's still
good eye candy.

Yes, I saw the comments Hugh made about Meghan's "courage." But
I'm willing to overlook them just this once since they were made
by my favorite Aussie. He'd better watch himself from now on,
though.
I found "The Night Manager" on Amazon, so I'll critique it...and
Mr. Hiddleston...once I've watched it. But six episodes! It'll
take some time for me to wade through it.

Abs has it right about that handsome Matthew Crawley...er, Dan
Stevens. But once he left Downton Abbey he was never seen
again. At least I haven't seen him since. He should have
skipped driving home from visiting Mary and the baby in the
hospital and simply had Branson come pick him up in the earl's
Rolls.

He was on a US television show and one of the Night at the
Museum movies. Not sure what else.

He is just so good as a gay Russian Eurovision star!
You can tell they had so much fun making that movie.

I haven't been able to find the whole Eurovision movie, but I've
watched portions of it on YouTube. You all are right...Dan
Stevens still is very easy on the eyes and is really
entertaining as a gay Russian. I'll definitely keep him on my
list of backups for Hugh.

I finished watching "The Night Manager" last night, so I now can
review both the film and Mr. Hiddleston. First, the show
itself. I really enjoyed it, and particularly loved Hugh Laurie
as the bad guy. So nonchalantly evil! They obviously had great
material to work with when developing the script...John LeCarre
was no slouch when it came to writing spy novels. Turns out
Cara was right when she said Tom Hiddleston probably wouldn't
replace Hugh in my heart of hearts. He's certainly not
Frankenstein-ugly and is an outstandingly good actor, but
physically he looked to me like he should be teaching Medieval
Literature at a boys' prep school rather than killing people and
having sex with almost every woman who crossed his path.
However, it was a well-spent six hours of fine television.
Thanks for the suggestion, Cara.
