A statement on issued on their behalf said: "After informing HM
The Queen and members of both families last year, Peter and
Autumn jointly agreed to separate.
"They had reached the conclusion that this was the best course
of action for their two children and ongoing friendship.
"The decision to divorce and share custody came about after many
months of discussions and although sad, is an amicable one..

There are an awful lot of divorces in the British royal family.

It was announced today that Autumn plans to stay in the UK after
the divorce. I'm glad for the children's sakes. They've always
seemed so close to little Mia.

That is a very good choice!
I moved country when I was nine, and it does affect EVERYTHING
in your life. It can be quite earth shattering for a child over
the toddler age to move country. Especially children who have
this special background.
