Nicolai in a bit of a controversy - which now has been "fixed"
by the grey men.
I donīt know what to think of this. He only is prince of name,
he wonīt ever receive money from the Danish state (except what
he inherits from Jokke of course). So shouldnīt he be able to
make money however he wants to?
I can see that Alex and Nicolai are causing some embarrassment
for the Royal House - but they can do what they want I guess. We
can like it or not, but hey ho.

Prince Nikolai in headwind after advertising: Now apology from
the royal house
The royal house now says sorry after Prince Nikolai has been
linked to a car advertisement.
A picture of Prince Nikolai, allegedly promoting a Renault Clio
from the car rental company Sixt, has begun to flourish on
social media during the weekend.
In the picture allegedly stemming from a press release from Sixt
and released Friday 14.43, Prince Nikolai is sitting on the
cooler of a black Renault Clio next to a man dressed in the car
rental company's clothes. The text of the picture states that
Prince Nikolai has chosen a car on Sixt All Inclusive.

Although it appears that Sixt was originally sent to the news,
it is no longer possible to find it among the company's press
releases on their website.
However, it does not prevent Danes from sharing the message and
image on social media. Just look here:
The royal house is sorry
The royal house has been made aware of the case and against B.T.
sorry for the situation. According to the royal office's
communication department, the royal house must not advertise in
that way.
'Royal Marketers do not market companies or products. Prince
Nikolai deplores the mistake, as it is now addressed, 'it says
from the royal house communications department.

Ekstra Bladet has tried to get a comment from Sixt, but at the
time of writing, they did not answer our inquiry.
Ekstra Bladet has also tried to get a comment from the royal
house - also without luck. It has therefore not been possible to
get further information about what a possible agreement between
Sixt and Prince Nikolai involved.

Some royal "expert" says that it is very unusual that the royal
house chooses to apologize to the public.
He also says that because of his royal title, Nicolai cannot
advertize products.

With extreme privilege comes great responsibility.
I do not think that a member of a royal family (officially or
indirectly) can earn their living any way they want.
It may not sound fair but there is a lot of comlon sense behind
as well. Nikolai's budding career is also based on his name and
connections, not just his looks and skilks. The odd modeling job
can be seen as a fun thing to do. Advertising products and
services looks tackier and does not fit with the neutral
attitude that a reigning royal family should show. Jmo.

Cara, I think your opinion is sensible.
Having thought about it, in order for Nicolai to do whatever he
wants, he needs to ditch the prince title.
It is very simple, really.
His net worth as a model will go down, ex prince vs prince, but
he will be free to do what he wants.
He canīt have it both ways. A lesson I hope he has learned now.

Those that manage to work (the Dutch for instance) have all
better looking jobs.

It really does. It becomes painfully clear.
Hopefully the siblings and cousins that come after him will have
learned from this: Felix, Isabella, Henrik, Vincent, Josephine
and Athena.
I wonder what will become of them all - and will Christian ever
become king?

Ive never hear of that brand and then today I see an ad on tv
for them. Nicolai probably thought it was the same as a modeling
job , he could do with a part time advisor but not his mother !
Hell find his feet soon enough .
