does reserve officer mean a full time military career in
denmark?
here it doesn't. a reserve officer gets training but afterwards
he can have any career. he just has to go every year or so to a
few training days.

I had to look it up. It is the same here, not a full time job,
but rather something you have beside another career.
He is basically doing what his dad does: as little work as
possible. I know Tiger will protest. But Jokke really doesnīt do
that much.

Full time male model, part-time army officer. That's an odd
combination. A bit like saying I want to be a mud-wrestling
brain surgeon.

LOL, true.
He is young, I hope he gets things together somehow. I realize
his role isnīt the easiest, but he is going to need a full time
job.

He's only 18. And a male. He probably won't know what he
really wants to do until he's at least 26. For now, he's
probably just having a good time strutting down the runways and
shooting guns.

I thought he was smarter than that.
My niece goes to the same boarding school as him. She says he is
very quiet and seems aware that he has to thread carefully not
to attrect attention - and then he goes modelling.
Doesnīt make sense to me.

He's still a teenager, and a boy. Boys mature much later than
girls do. As I said before, he's probably not going to be
thinking logically, like an adult, until he's at least in his
mid-twenties. For now he's a study in contrasts and conflicting
emotions and actions. Quiet and reserved in one setting, out
there and loving it in another. To tell the truth, I'm kind of
glad to see him acting like a "normal" kid...even though I still
think those modeling photos make him look silly. I get the
feeling that Jokke rules his household with an iron hand and woe
to any of his kids who try to step out of line. I can't imagine
Jokke thinks modeling is an appropriate hobby for his royal son
so...having thought more about it...now I say "go for it, Nic!"

I read that Nikolai told a magazine - Taet Pa - that he wants to
complete two years training for reserve-officers at the Army NCO
School in Varde and model sometimes.
That's not a bad plan.
It offers him a varied experience while he is young and
contemplating a career path.

Starting military training in Varde 1st of August , confirmed
by the court.

Nicolai looks so different without the mop of hair.

Awful! Why demasculinise Nikolai? He looks so feminine and
like a teenager instead of a man.
The accessories are not suiting him either.
I don't like the styling of this, usually very handsome, man at
all.
I thought the idea of using a model was to have one's clothes
appear attractive.

Normally this wouldnīt bother me, but seeing Nicolai like this
feels wrong.
Too "gay" styling. I am not anti gay or anything!!! Just want to
make that clear.
It just seems wrong seeing him like that. To say something
positive, I think the hairdo suits him.
