Thanks Cara
One of them was by Nancy S Lovell as you mentioned the other was
Take Six girls by Laura Thompson . Jennie Churchill was
excellent. I love autobiographies.

i do too though i haven't read any recently.
i discovered the mitford sisters while living in london. at that
time i also read a bio on the curzon sisters and one of the
brontë sisters which was excellent.

I am slowly getting into the Christmas mood and started to work
on my menu plan for that week...
Difficult not to think about you, Tiger.
You are always so well organized and have always shared your
Christmas preparation and tree with us. This Christmas will be a
difficult one, with your mom no longer being around. But I also
know that strong family bonds do help in getting over the first
celebration without a loved one. Special thoughts and hugs for
you.
For all members, what are your plans for this year?

Will be at holiday house. It is good to have firm plans.
We do have Christmas decorations in the house, but they are not
as nice as the ones we have here at home.
But the house is cosy, so we will be fine. Looking forward to
it!

We'll be at our son's house for Christmas so Santa can come
visit our two grandchildren in their own home. Then they'll
come to our house for the week between Christmas and the new
year for a second celebration and dinner. I've started to think
about putting up the tree and decorating the house, but haven't
lifted a finger to do anything yet. I work better under
pressure.

LOL, Chris, me too!
We will have to stress a bit, because less than 24 hrs from we
arrive in holiday house till the evening of the 24th, which is
what we celebrate in Europe. Fortunately there is a supermarket
nearby which is open, I checked. They always have surplus of
Christmas food, so I am pretty sure we´ll get what we want - if
not, we have to be creative! Don´t like X-mas food anyway, so I
almost hope they are sold out........

Hi Bessie!!!!
you know, you don´t NEED a gazillion Christmas trees, like you
have. LOL
Nice to see you, I know you love X-mas. Hope everything is fine.
