Happy women's little Christmas. Certainly well deserved to have
fun with the girls... and love that you remind us of this lovely
       tradition every year Tiger.
today is also King's day, the day which sort of ends the
Christmas celebrations. in France and Belgium we celebrate with
a "galette des rois", a kind of cake that's made for that
occasion. inside you have a little porcelain figure and whoever
gets it, also gets a crown.
anybody else celebrating this particular day?
in italy, it's befana day, i.e. the witch (old woman) coming to
your home to bring the gifts to the children. quite a fun
       tradition as well.

Well, this Strega is taking Mr. Beaverhausen and family to a
       swanky restaurant for his compleanno.
       [/quote]
Mr. Beverhausen is very lucky to have you as his very own
personal strega! Have a great time.

       All this sounds fantastic.
Have female fun in city Cork, Tigerben; enjoy someone else
       cooking for you.
The Fota Gardens and Arboretum were my fave near Cork.

Me neither Cara! At least my tree is up and still lit. I can’t
get myself together to put it away.

You ladies are just like me! I FORCED myself to do it, and it
       was HARD.
Work from tomorrow, and I had to have it out of the way. :'(

Well well well , heading into the last full week before
Christmas. I’ve nearly all the presents got , have all the Santy
stuff got even though my three are out of that , until you leave
home you’ll get santy 😀. I don’t get to stressed about
dinner , when we used to have in-laws and my own crowd I’d do
starters , main , dessert. Hubs hates being to full so just
       dinner , and dessert.
Dinner is turkey and ham , sausage , onion and potato stuffing ,
mash and roast potatoes, potato coquettes , Brussels sprouts,
mash carrot , turnip and parsnips and gravy .. after I love
       baileys cheesecake.
Id have all my own crowd in the morning for a fry up , so busy
house from 9 till 11.30 when I hunt them , down then to my
cousin where we have two / three vodka and cokes ... 😀
Home , tidy up , dinner , pjs , and relax. Favorite day is St
Stephens day , absolutely love it ...
Us irish spend the most in Europe I think on Christmas , but
then we are a expensive country ..
       What are ye’re Christmas’s like ....

I'm really tired and I'm at my busiest, workwise.
Thankfully, we GO this year to Melb first to hear our daughter
singing in a choir on Christmas Eve.
Then on Christmas Day we'll have lunch with my son's beautiful
       family.
Probably roast chicken or turkey and vegies, onion/tomato pie
and greens followed by plum pud with cream, ice cream or custard
and plenty of nibbles and chatter and presents etc.
We will catch up for a meal with the two extended families over
the Christmas period. They have young kids and they'll choose
       where and when is best.

Sounds lovely , is the pie the veggie option or is it served
       with the dinner.
