Happy New Year , the roaring 20s again ...
[/quote]
Wanted to post something in this thread and saw the last post.
YES, the 20s have certainly been ROARING!
Just wanted to say that I started the Xmas decorations - or
rather, I go a little nuts with the decorations this year!
I think we all need a little light, a little colour!
Anybody else started?
We put out lights outside and decorated the inside banister.
First time I do that. Looks good, but need to add something to
it. As it is now, it is only a pine garland with lights.

If we had known on New Year what this year brought......it's
better we didn't :-X
I also started christmas decorations yesterday, it gives me a
good mood - after having a hard November-Blues-Week last week.
Now the little magic of Christmas is arriving, I love it. It's
not much, some little wooden angels with instruments, lights in
the window, a nice Advent wreath... at the weekend I will start
baking.
I agree we need light and hope!
(Looking forward to the Chatterers Christmas Theme ;-))

So many houses here have Christmas decorations up and done
lights outside. People are fed up with the restrictions they’re
making a effort. It’s a bit early for me .. but each to their
own .

We see the same here, Tiger, people put the lights up earlier
and there is definitely MORE.
I am one of them! I just need it and I enjoy all the lights and
decorations people put up! More than ever!
I do it gradually so there is something new about every week up
to Christmas.

It's a bit early for me too but it's nice to have a slow
build-up to Christmas.
I took a few decorative ceramic reindeers and a small
christmas-themed tablecloth that my mom embroidered.
On Thursday I will get a belated Advents wreat, courtesy of a
German friend who will travel back to Brussel.
Christmas tree will be set up mid December with the rest of the
decoration.

This year I thought of getting one of those advents calendars
but didn't get to it... and what came in with the mail today ?
A little package that included a book entitled "A literary
Advents Calendar to cut open".
Each day is a double page that you have to cut open to access a
short story. This is going to be fun!!!!

Oh, then, I guess, it's not something traditionally Danish?
Maybe it's one of Marge's creations?
It looks like they are called "nissepigens"
They come up at Christmas times and they put them in several
situtations which is quite cute and funny.
