Putin to continue the war than to negotiate. I ask you this
question because it is often heard within the Western left. Says
NATO and Ukraine want to prolong the war and refuse to
negotiate. But your comment seems to indicate otherwise
absolutely. For this reason Putin revealed in recent statements
his desire to prolong the crisis for as long as possible. As I
write the Russian government very clearly wants to start an
eternal war that can never be agreed upon because they don't
know what to agree on. . And as I said before it's not because
they can't or even want to make a deal but because.
They can't make a deal. Because they Phone Number List

can't use it as a trump card
internally. Most importantly because the invasion inspired
strong patriotic feelings and a real passion for war in one part
of society. They managed to pull the most reactionary and
aggressive elements of Russian society behind the war. The
problem now is that these elements have become dangerous to the
regime itself because as soon as the regime negotiates any deal
it immediately becomes a target of these reactionary forces.
This was already evident in April when Russian and Ukrainian
delegations reached some kind of agreement at a meeting in
Istanbul that included a statement from Ukraine that it would
not join NATO. . Russia could have used this to justify their
invasion and mark it as a victory.

But while Ukraine was ready to sign the deal, Russia was not. To
understand why we have to look at what is happening inside
Russia. The preliminary agreement was announced on a day that
saw a veritable outpouring of anger and hatred in the
pro-government media, with the warring parties literally
resisting and even threatening to kill negotiators. In response
Russia withdrew from the negotiating table. Faced with the
unleashed hellish forces Putin and his inner circle are
terrified. Then we have to take into account that on the other
hand there was a very strong anti-war sentiment even though it
was very repressive.
