       SOtEM the Sons of Mercy

       Theos Therapeutae[/center]
       Silent monastic order pursuing gospel life, study and personal
       development in the three traditional priestly schools of
       Theology, Agricultural and Medicine. Brothers outreach ministry
       is to alleviate suffering and aid in sickness "and that gratis"
       A fraternal Order of the Church, SOtEM Sacred Society preserves,
       presents and promotes education, historical preservation and
       wellness, through principals and practices of monastic life for
       faithful and religious pursuing education, helping others and
       finding a spiritual home and fulfillment of thier vocation as
       therapeutae.
       Membership in the SOtEM Order of Therapeutae is by invitation
       and application to men who are of good character that wish to
       learn and train to respond to all life, through the sacred
       philosophies, medicines, and therapeutics G-d has given us to
       ease suffering and give comfort in sickness.
       ACES Rose Chapel is home to the Church of the Gardeners, called
       "Sons of Mercy", who are in stewardship of Church precincts and
       possesions for the congregation.
       SOtEM grants liberty and liesure for eremites, coenobites and
       itenerates pursuing thier vocation and formation through
       divinity studies and gospel life to prepare for service in the
       Church towards thier divinization. SOtEM members are agents of
       the Church or board members.
       (Associate Members have regular member benefits.)
       SOtEM members (Therapeutae) can be recognized by the signs of
       thier society, chiefly that they
       - Possess a reverence for and pursue knowledge of the creation
       and the carbon based organic life form. The traditional priestly
       schools of Theology, Agriculture and Medicine are thier natural
       home
       - They develop skill and art in the "knowledge of blood & dust
       and the care of souls" (theos therapea) and life sciences
       - Are subsistance capable and at home in nature, showing
       kindness to all animals
       - Hold all knowledge in confidence and rely on God most high,
       looking first to the works of his hands in all things (sub
       umbrat alarum tuarum dei)
       Admitted vocations begin perusal of society resources and such
       practices as are conducive to self reclamation, formation and
       contemplative life as student members.
       After attaining proficiency they are admitted to full membership
       capable of autonomy in general study and service.
