       Fireflies
       Not every Shiner knows that they shine,
       No Temple but Faith,
       Scrolls left all behind -
       Not every Shiner knows that they shine.
       But their eyes stretch out longer
       and their head out behind
       They wander the wastelands neither
       sighted nor blind
       the itch it still scratches
       though love they may find
       not every Shiner knows that they shine.
       Does God gift with birth
       such long and tall things for the sound
       of the chords it plays on our strings?
       In the places between that exist for such beings
       do we take forth our food -
       or give back our sings?
       An anthem of glory or
       a long woeful whine -
       not every Shiner knows that they shine
       or sees the bright glow in
       their tracks left behind ~
