I'm testing out the arrangement that Luvessy suggested for the
forum layout.
I think that it's a great idea and should work fine for
organisational purposes and for my OCD.

I locked this thread. Theoretically only admins and mods can
now reply to it. I'm having no trouble replying.

I think there's a way to lock the whole board, not just
individual threads. I know there's that option on proboards.
Well, and there's a read only setting here.
Could try that.

Does read-only apply to admins and mods as well?

Apparently not. But there's a warning at the top of the reply
page.
Don't know if that's a permission setting that can be tweaked.
