       Pigeon found yellow leg  band

       Hi, On July 7th a very dark grey pigeon crashed into our kitchen
       window.  It has a yellow leg band with just the number 11 on it.
       It looks like some of the feathers are missing from the end of
       it's right wing.  It cannot to fly and just walks around.    It
       is a nice looking bird.
       I bought some pigeon food and am taking care of it but I don't
       really have a good permanent place for it.  It may take a couple
       of months until the feathers grow back.  I have been told that
       it will be impossible to find the owner with just a number 11 on
       the band.
       I live in Alhambra California and am wondering if anyone here
       lost a bird.  I would like to find a permanent home for it as I
       do not want to just turn it loose.
