Rubies Great Escape

I received my pair of rollers last Friday evening. I put them
in the pigeon loft so that they could get acquainted with their
new home. The next morning when I went out to feed them, they
were gone. They must have escaped through the trap. I thought
more than likely, they are gone forever as they had only been
here a matter of hours and were put in their loft at dusk. I
looked around the neighborhood, in trees, on roofs, all around,
but they were nowhere to be found. Later that evening, around
5PM, I was having my coffee, looking out the window, and there
they were, both of them, sitting on the roof of the loft. I
watched them for a few minutes, they jumped on top of the fly
pen, and went through the trap into their loft. These birds
haven't been trap trained, they haven't been settled, they're
just down right smart birds. These birds are very different
than the other birds that I own. They both have good
dispositions and seem to understand whats going on. Just
sharing my story of the Ruby Rollers and have decided to order 2
more pair. Thanks for reading. - Steve

Hey Steve, I have Ruby's and you are correct. They are smart
which is a double edged sword. They learn good or bad habits
very quickly! I hope you enjoy your birds! :)
Take care
Thom

> That should tell you what to do with your other rollers. Three
pair will be a great start with ruby's. You can make a great
stud with three pair and will not need any more to work with.
