WOW do some people read ??? Go to NBRC get your bulletin page
103 and order if your not a member go to there web site and join
if you have rollers, then buy there bands they keep tract many
years down the road who bought what #### what years

Tony... would I be able to order leg bands with the "RPDC" on
them,from where YOU had them ordered from?? I like the fact
that I can just look at a bird and from the leg band, tell it's
one of my Rubys ..

Paul the NBRC sells 4 different style and color bands,I get 25
of 3 different ones for my 3 family, so easy to tell without
looking at the # what family it is. ;)

Hmmm, now that's an interesting question. ??? Should people
have bands made for their own use that incorporates the
initials: RPDC that stands for RollerPigeon.Com? For that
matter, I have had people ask if they can put Ruby bands on
their Rubys...I am not be comfortable with either one as they
both represent my work and business.
I would just order bands from the same source with your first
name on them in the color you like, I might suggest the same red
color I use for the Ruby bands. They will have the same look and
feel that you are accustomed to and should work easily enough to
spot the Ruby in your loft. Thanks! :D

Tony..... by NO means do I want to infringe on YOU and the RPDC
site. Please understand that. I guess in my mind, I just
wanted to keep all my Ruby's uniform and pay respect to YOU
keeping them all banded the same. Please accept my apology, I
meant NO disrespect or harm. I will do as suggested by rookie
and order from the NBRC.

Paul you are welcome and a another tip is you can order personal
bands the ones with just phone ## you can band the squabs left
or right leg and switch off for the different families .Good
luck with your breeding season hope there is some fun in there
for you ;)

personal name bands from the NBRC. All my birds double banded.

A breeder I know had given away a few birds and one got picked
up by the local animal control. The band had his name and phone
#. They called him and said come get your bird and bring $20 or
so dollars. He said the bird was no longer his and did not want
it. They said pay us or we will add it to your homeowners tax
bill or something like that. He was stuck anyway you looked at
it. He does not use these bands any more.

In the past I have ordered the plastic coated bands from the
NBRC and also the name and address/phone number bands. This year
due to the cost I'm going to try the Rick Mee bands that have
year, name, phone number and are numbered 1-100. The draw back
with the NBRC numbered bands is only pigeon folk will know to
contact the NBRC. I have gotten many birds back that had my
phone number on the bands, but never just by the ID number. Also
other than the NBRC English style bands made by Ron Swart which
are 7mm they are 8mm and can slip off smaller birds quite
easily. I will still buy the plastic coated NBRC bands 25 at a
time for my JL Smith/Lavin birds as they are a bit bigger and
are muffed and require the bigger bands. For my different pairs
I will use different colored plastic snap on bands that way they
are way easy to tell the difference.

i have never seen anyones rollers smaller than mine anywhere i
use the nbrc english bands and have never had one come off in 2
years they are 7mm if you dont think so compare them to the
plastic nbrc bands you will see the diffrence rick mee does have
very nice bands though.
