       Birds won't fly

I've got a small kit (14 birds all 2011), started training them
in the spring. They were flying 30 minutes up until fall and
suddenly, they don't want to fly anymore. The birds are not
sick, should I feed them up more or fly at a different time of
       day?

I take mine about 3 blocks up wind make them fly home if don't
stay up next day 5 blocks they will have to elevate to find way
home--- if that doesn't work I will take mine up to 3/4 mile
have lost a few but that's there problem if want fly don't need
them-- ALSO DON'T OVER FEED FOR 14 BIRDS NOT OVER 1 1/2 CUPS OF
FEED TOTAL MAY VERY FOR YOUE FAMILY I have 2 families Cliff
ball/ Turner and Mehdi/Turners and few MEE /Ball Crosses all
       fly together
       THREE RULES AT MY LOFT
       1.NO TREE OR WIRE SITTING
2.KIT AFTER MONTH OF FLYING SOME LEAWAY HERE
3.COME IN TO ROLL BY 1 YEAR OR LESS

       Johnnie,
Your rules are very similar to mine. I keep 3 families, my
original Paul Vaughn family, some Turners that came to me by way
of Mel Stalzer up in Iowa, and some Hoyle/Horner Jacs. Brought
20 pair with me and have started my breeding season already.
Need to catch up since I did not breed any in 2011 in
       anticipation of the move.
       Keep em spinning

Hi Joeb glad move complete and breeding has started --also up
here in cold parts of Texas have 2 hens of MEES and 2 hens of
Ball with 1 cock per family 4 pair feeders and 3 best producing
pair from last year mostly Mehdi Arzaghi Pensom/Turner family
put all together on 12/13 when I received 2 MEE cocks and a MEE
hen from Scott up in Michigan, had plain to wait until 2/18/12
but after MEEs arrived couldn't resist temptation. Wanted to see
babies in the air soon-- turn on heaters and lights to get
everyone in the mood. GOD Bless!!!

Mr Williams I am no master breeder I hope the birds I sent you
will help you. I received a check in the mail from you today
for shipping you will need to void that check out I will not
cash it these birds where a gift to you to try out in your
breeding program if they work out great and all the credit will
go to Mike Austin and the guys up here that have tried very hard
with this family of birds if not well I will take the blame for
what goes wrong as I am the last one to breed them.
These guys up here have worked very hard with this family and
you have to respect that I have only had this family for a short
time and from what I have seen there is a lot of great blood in
       it.
Mr Williams you are a great person you dont see very mean guys
that when you send them a gift they still try to pay you for the
       shipping
I wish you the best of luck I still say that 011 cock is the way
       to go take care Scott

Johnnie, Thanks for your advice I'll give them a try. I am
feeding my birds a bit too much.
Hello Sound Rollers, yes I have 2 different bop's in my area.
I'm thinking my birds are spooked or terrified, that's the
reason they won't fly? For now, I'm locking them up for a while
       until the bop's go away.
