WHAT KIND OF BIRDS FLY FOR LONG HOURS

I JUST SAW A VIDEO OF MIKE TYSON WITH HIS BIRDS AND HE HAS SOME
KIND OF BIRD THAT HE SAYS LOFT FLYS FOR 10-15 HOURS. HE SAID
THATS WHAT THEY WERE BREAD FOR..... DOES ANY BODY KNOW WHAT HE
IS TALKING ABOUT............... I WANT SOME IF THEY REALLY FLY
FOR HOURS I WOULD LOVE TO WATCH THAT........ IF YOU HAVE SOME
ILL BUY THEM

Those are tipplers and there are various kinds of tipplers. The
record is 22 or 23 hours straight. They also fly very high to
where some become mere dots in the sky.
Most tipplers will fly for a few hours. A trained tippler will
supposedly fly much longer with 10 hours being fairly common.
Once you get above 15 from what I was told, it is harder and
harder to do.

I know he has fling flights but I am not sure if these are the
ones that you are talking about flights will fly for a long time
I use to have them and they would fly for hours hope this helps

Trammell,
I used to have Budapest Highfliers and I could let them out
before I went to work in the morning and most days I would have
to wait for them to come in after I got home (9 hours later)!
They come in grizzle, bell-neck and barred (blue, black, red and
white bodies or solid white), with clean leg or slightly muffed
and are a very tame breed, even if you don't have food they will
fly to you to check things out. Also, you may want to check out
Polish Orliks/ Ukrainian Skycutters, they fly differently from
any other pigeon breed and come in many different colors and
patterns. BUT... regardless of how long a breed flies, NOTHING,
absolutley NOTHING comes close to watching Rollers go about
their business, whether it be for 20 minutes or more!

@ Tiraderoller i think it might be the budapest highflyers
because when he went into his coop he just went up and grabed
any one he wanted and none of them even flinched or made a
sound........
and yes please send me some info on these birds i really like
how they just go go go.... i would love to show them off at some
of my get togethers with friends and family....
And i totally agree, i would never trade my rollers for
nothing....... they are the shit!!!! :D !

The nearest pigeon fancier to me two streets over flies Iranian
and Persian high flyers . With three young kids I don't have 7-8
hours to stare at dots in the sky . Most of his birds tumble
once or twice .

Rollers are the ultimate performance pigeon, but I'm curious
about those Tippler Pigeons. I'm going to search the internet
for more info. Supposedly, they can dot up in the sky
and stay up all day and stuff. Got to feed my kit, later.

@SMALLKIT you only fly these birds for their pleasure.... but
you can still controll them just like rollers but its all visual
and not sound.........
like if you ware the same jacket every time you feed them they
are i sync with the color of it not the sound of a whistle or
can... but you can land them whenever you want but it is
challenging to train them.

There
is clubs that only fly these birds there might even be one near
you get a hold of your locall pigeon club I am sure they can
help you out. There was a good size roller club down that way at
one time dont know if it is still around I think it was called
the greater Cincinnati roller club but it has been a long time
and I cant be sure on the name

Flying Flights and Tipplers are two flying breeds that fly for
hours. Tipplers are timed for records times. ;D
