This need not be interjected here, but im not sure where to ask
questions at?? But i understand what figure 8 is, inflying
somwhat, i think!! But i dont know what H or X is ? Im guessing
flying pattern, although ive never seen that. I'm very much
aware of what circles are" Lord do i know .Anyway give me the
benefit of the doubt Just a newbee!! Thanks ;chesley

H and X refer to wing style/position in individual birds. As the
roller rotates, if viewed from the front/back or below, the
wings make the form of an X, H, A or (). In general, the higher
the wing position is, or more nearly the tips are to touching,
the more desirable of an illusion it creates. There are some
drawings floating around, on this site and others, of various
wing styles exhibited.
Circles and figure of 8 are patterns the whole kit fly around
the sky in. Only a few kits regularly fly a figure of 8. The
benefit of such is it maximizes a kits opportunity to change
from R-hand turn to L-hand turn. When a kit changes direction is
when they are most likely to 'break' or to roll together.
Good question, although maybe more suitable for starting another
thread with.
