Update on my young 2011 Rubys

Hi all, I would like to let those who are flying Rubys
know,that I am totally impressed with my 2011 young birds! they
are now between 6-10 months old. I am now seeing just how much
Tonys work with this strain over the many years with this line
and the fact that guys like us who have chosen to aquire and
fly this line from Tony. All I can say is wow! If only I were
able to show in a video what I have been witnessing in the last
few weeks flying these young birds!

Hi Raul, well thank you for the great report! The best part is
the birds will typically improve during the second year as well.
Depending on the feed and so forth, you can get them really
tearing it up. I recently put my A-Team on 100% wheat and that
always gets them cranked up higher. I am seeing faster and
deeper rolling of 40 foot and more, activity has jumped 20 to
30% estimated. Birds range from 1 to 4 years old.
I am going to TRY and fly them through the winter, at least try
not to lock them down for months at a time. Maybe fly them 2 or
3 times a week weather and BOP permitting. My hope is to fly
this team in next years World Cup regional fly.

Hi Tony, Buddy I wish you the best in next years World Cup
regional fly!One thing is for sure from what I have seen , your
line , unlike polititians make good on their promise ;D Tony
Ive got at least 7 birds in a kit of 20 that consistanly are
hamering nothing less than 30-50ft in spectacular style, with
the rest from 15-25 ft good clean roll, that shoot right back to
the kit! And this regardless of the time of day or type of
feed given ! Dont get me wrong they are not all perfect
rollers, but are the best rollers to date that I have bred and
worked with!!Belive me buddy Ive had a few freinds over to watch
them perform, and they are amazed! These freind are 2 older
gentelmen who had flown and bred for many years, strains from
Pensom to Schreiber. They have not been active in the hobby for
over 20-25 yrs, but still do breed a few show birds of various
breeds. One of them actualy had a few tears in his eyes when he
told told me, Son you dont know how happy I am to see Rollers
of this quality after many years of thinking they had all gone!!

Raul, thanks for the good wishes for next year! I really was
touched by your sharing that story about the older gentlemen.
May be pause for a bit...So glad you got a good handle on the
birds and are enjoying them. Keep it up! :D

Good Luck to ya Tony in the 2012 WC FLY. There is a lot of great
fliers and families of rollers and this will give you the chance
to prove your family of rollers and I am sure you and the rubys
will do well. Dont worry if you will win or not just have fun
that is what this hobby is all about the love of the birds and
great people and friends.

Hey Raul, I am as happy as a bug in a rug! :) Tony deserves some
credit but so do you! Management is as important as breeding and
you have it going on! :)
