Hi Tobey, there was a time when I would rely solely on the
all-in-one type solutions. Over time, I researched for more
efficient and economical solutions to treat specific illnesses.
With trial and error, I have now in most cases been capable of
diagnosing a bird and getting it on the correct meds.
There is a book called "Coughs & Colds: Croaks & Canker"
available at pigeon supply houses, in it you will learn about
the causes of canker, how to spot it, how to treat and prevent
the likelihood of it being an ongoing problem.
Saying all that, if I had a bird suffering from canker, I would
put my bird on Sulmet for a while and then provide apple cider
vinegar (The Braggs brand). Keep the loft clean of excessive and
wet droppings. Avoid overcrowded conditions. This will stress
the birds and open them up to the possibility of disease. If
nothing else, get the droppings tested. Good luck :D
PS: None of us are veterinarians and any input you receive is
merely anecdotal. See a vet for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Tobey
Spartrix Tabs.... One tablet for 3 days
straight. I would suggest you
gently dig out any yellowish mass you can find in the
mouth/throat area, before you treat with Spartrix. Isolate it
while treating. That may save
this bird, it depends on how lite it is weight wise. If it
starts eating good, it has a good chance.[font=bookman
old style] If you can find emtryl, 40% per 100 grams, 1/2
teaspoon per gal for 6-10 days for birds NOT feeding young....
and flock treat to avoid any more cases.[font=bookman old
style]

The 4 in 1 ( 3 in 1, all in one) treatments are better suited
for prophylactic use, than to treat sick birds..... In my
opinion.
