My kit did that when they where young but as they
mature/smarter, that habit kind of went away. They still do it
every once in a long while when I tweak their feed a little.
It's kind of like them telling me that they are still adjusting
to their feed when they go a little further out rather then up.

When I fly my young bird kit(4-8 months old) sometimes they'll
fly over the general area and other times south of my loft.
I fly my kit early morning and afternoon, it's hot and humid
here
in So. Cal. Adjusting the amount of feed and what you feed will
determine what your birds will do, young birds need time to
mature.

Kevin-- even as the get older depends on FEED and WEATHER WIND
as to where and how they fly--work on feed to much and they will
fly for ever and go HIGH or come down early-- but at 6months or
so they should kit and stay in sight of loft unless weather wind
problem-- mine will fly low in wind and hide be hind trees but
most of time they are at 3to 500 feet high and with in a 7
blocks depending on which wind is blowing-- my birds fly every
morning in winds up to 40mph. lol
GOD BLESS!!!
