When you hear men......dis a judge for being too lax, do you
also feel it was a jab at the judge? When you hear someone
say... a judge cheated some of the flyers, because " IN THE
JUDGES OPINION IT WAS A BREAK" for others, do you feel it was a
jab at the judge? If so, I hope you spoke up in those cases too.
To me, it's just describing the different judging styles. Until
we have a better understood well-written, well-defined Fly
Rules, we will have this difference in judging style. It is not
a jab at them, it IS A JAB at our dandy Fly Rules that allow
each judge to score according to their own standard.
These judges, EVERY ONE OF THEM, are giving freely of their time
and experience, and wisdom, EVERYONE OF THEM is doing the best
job they know how. I find fault in the vague, dysfunctional fly
rules that give rise to how different judges interpret and
enforce our fly rules....not the men who step up and donate
their time and personal resources.
Do we now, understand each other a little better? I am always
glad to discuss what I mean exactly, on any given subject. I
know that I am not the easiest to understand sometimes. Sorry if
I mis-spoke.

Cliff, I'm going on vacation today and usually my wife and I
get into a big fight....... Well honey you are it!!!! LOL.
Thanks for the smile that's on my face. And no I don't criticize
any judges ...period!!!!! See you later... lol...

I dont read it that way Ty. I read it as less than 4 rolled and
perhaps 10, 15, 20, 30 seconds later 5 rolled (maybe more but
were unscoreable) but those that had rolled earlier werent ready
to go again, so the break was smaller. If they (the first to
roll) would have had of saved it til the rest were ready, could
have been a 9 bird break.
I read it as the kits timing was off, which is also true for
waterfalling, but the time interval between makes the difference
between a waterfall and independant breaks wherein some birds
should/could have waited. To me a waterfall implies birds
joining in the break after it commences, while other birds are
still rolling.
But ... its not my report, so I dont know exactly what he meant
by it. Just dont think we should jump to conclusions when there
are other reasonable interpretations.

Erick Leidler is higly respectet roller person in Europe, he
definitly knows how to score and rules of WC.
To judge WC is an honor and comes after a lot of work and
dedication. I don't beleive he or enyone else in same position
would dare to stain his reputation by cheating.
