I mean you know how different family require different way of
breeding... and how to pair em up....do you really just gotta
randomly pair one with the other and see if baby ever come good
or is there a secret (shortcut ) to figure the conclusion....

It's neither shortcut nor secret. Its experience and it only
comes by practice. There are things you can look for that will
give you clues as to what a bird may produce in its progeny.
Experience will teach you which of those clues are important in
your matings. I cannot tell you what to look for in your birds.
I have learned a few pitfalls to avoid in making selections to
breed from, but I have yet to find anything that is fail-safe or
garuantees a result. Time and attention is the only way I know
of.
The other thing that helps is quit looking at things from a
detailed pair by pair or baby by baby perspective. Instead view
it over the long term, broad perspective. Once you have formed a
family of your rollers, strive to make them consistent in the
traits you breed for. In other words over time, if you are
consistent in your choices, there will become less and less
variation between one to the other of individuals and kits.
Ideally a family can become so similar that one could pull this
bird and that and mate them up to get more of the same. Until
then, we all have to consider the attributes each mate brings to
the equation.
Very few families or lofts ever make that level of consistancy
or predictability. However, when you look back over say a 15-20
yr span, you will see very similar trends and traits shown in a
given family of rollers. That doesnt mean there weren't
exceptions within it, or some amount of variability.
Different families really arent that different, the better you
put in, the better you will get out.
