Thats one of Ty Colmans bands. Where are you located? Shawn
Just got off the phone with Ty and he said it's probly not his
bird. Maybe Cliff will know who's it is.

       Cliff,
I have a pigeon in my back yard for a couple of days now that is
in good health with band NBRC 2011 K0715 on its left leg.
I would like to somehow get in touch with its owner. right now
there are many stray cats in the neighborhood and I am concerned
that it might be eaten as prey.
Can anybody help me track down the owner?. I am located in
       Patchogue, NY 11772

       Steve49,

To fully disclose that information would compromise ongoing
research HAHAHAHAHAH Not the NY bird but the bird described
in post #1 from tkharden which hopefully is still close at hand
       in good old NC.......CCPRC 2010 481.

Richie, ok, that would explain the mixup. i was hoping maybe the
poster (Kenhag) from Patchogue, NY would chime in about the
bird. he can certainly go to the nbrc website and enter that
band to find the owner. plus, the bird is 5 minutes from my
house, and was curious about the fellow who found him, if he was
a roller guy, as I don't know of him.

       Hi Steve,
I am not a member of NBRC, just a concerned animal lover. The
bird has been taking residence in my yard for about 4-5 days
now. He flies and hovers over my windows looking like he wants
to get inside, lol. I have been feeding it and during the course
of the day it is out and about, but comes back late afternoon/
evenings. I dont have a place where he can stay or keep warm if
       needed during the night.
There are a lot of stray cats in the neighborhood, so I am
concerned for the thing. I did speak with a gentleman in
Bellport that the bird is registered to but he gave away 100 of
the bands and does not know the owners contact info, etc.
       Ken
