Scott just gets dizzy and wears down faster.. and honestly there
are places that I choose not to go .. besides it's just more
entertaining to see how long I can keep my hand on the stove
burner.
(Believe me, there are times I want to jump in and mix it up
(like I used to) but I try to refrain as much as I can. I want
to run the site in a way that gives voice to all the
perspectives on the roller, even when it fosters heated debates
and especially when I disagree with Cliff who often shoots the
winning jump shot over Scott.) [img

Scott, we both know you are right 100% of the time, but the
evidence doesn't say so. ::) The verbal sandwiches Cliff feeds
is sometimes just too much to digest. It isn't the quality of
his argument but the quantity of his rhetoric that is so damned
exhausting to respond to point by point. I like to read but his
posts get hard to digest about 3 paragraphs into them.... :o
Nevertheless, I like the one on one game you guys play, good
discussion educates many - confuses a few.
I appreciate you both. :D

While I agree with you, Cliff's post are not near as hard to

Now that is funny, I read even less of his, but at least Paul is
correct more than half the time when he isn't wrong! :o

Oh, come on now. You guys would be bored without my colorful
verbal sparing with Scott, Glenn and Joe A! LOL! You would be
amazed at how many private e-mails I get from guys (who do not
post) who say how much they appreciate the tone and attitude of
the posting I do; and expressing how much they have learned from
the (admittedly voluminous) information content. That's pretty
cool, I think. I will admit that I'm not very good with the
one-liners that are intended more to jab at the opponent, and
elicit a visceral response, than to provide any real basis for
thought. And I guess it is my education that has taught me to
provide literature support for my logic and reasoning rather
than just shoot from the hip. Sorry guys. You'll just have to
live with it for now....until I see a good reason to do it
differently! LOL!

Cliff, here is my take on long-windedness. . This is from a site
I subscribe to and have much respect for the writer and his
wisdom. I cannot use his entire article but the following will
have to suffice:
---------------------------------------------------------
The Most Crucial Communications Tactic There Is, Which We Are
Trained in School Not to Adopt
by Gary North
May 9, 2011
I will give it to you in four words: "Get to the point."
I will tell you why: "There is no such thing as free time, so
don't waste mine."
Time is running out. So is my patience. So is yours.
You should always assume that all strangers operate in terms of
this principle of time management. You friends may put up with
your extraneous material. Strangers won't. They don't want to
wait for your punch line. They think you may not have one.
I cannot begin to tell you how difficult it is for most speakers
and most writers to honor this simple rule.
In school, we are taught to pad our reports. We are encouraged
to fill notebooks with fluff. Fat notebooks look impressive.
"More is better." Nonsense. More is usually worse. The more
valuable your time, the worse more is.
Most people think of "more" as proof of their efforts. They
believe in the labor theory of value. That theory is wrong.A
wise man will pay $97 for a 10-page report rather than $29.95
for a 300-page book. His time is valuable."
---------------------------------------------------------
This is but a portion of the entire article but I hope you get
the point... ;)
Here is his site if you want to subscribe (I find the site worth
every penny I pay) and read the rest of the "short article":

I honestly can't read those long ones .. the spin gets me spun ,
besides in the end guys are just going have to figure it out for
themselves. And if and when they get serious some will and some
won't, nothing different than what I went through.

Guys
Personally, I like Paul's posts. And I am not too sure that I
would say he is wrong on many of his posts, and many of his
opinions. In fact, I agree with most of them. I am glad his
posts are usually more involved than mine...... Makes mine look
shorter. ;0)))

Tony
I make my points over and over and over again, most of the time
becasue others keep reciting nothing but opinion and
agendas.....like mantras. But then it is important to cite the
reasoning behind the conclusions I have come to....and where I
get the information that supports my reasoning. The opposition
seems to seldom address the specific points, or to counter them
with references. They just keep reciting their mantras and
opinions, that are usually not supported by the facts... as you
stated. There is really no actual debate occuring at all, in
most cases.
Right now I am reviewing the Turner genetic tapes and I hope to
get to the bottom of the information found in them. There is a
lot of crap being circulated about them. If questions surface, I
can take them to the source for clarification. I think that's a
good apporach. Some will persist in their ignorance, regardless
of the facts....becasue the facts sometimes do not support their
agendas. I can't help that. But it is apparrent that most
readers see through that.
Cliff
