Ross, winners cup 18% which is a mixed
seed with corn I give 11 birds 1 cup and only
after they fly for about an hour And they trap fast. The weather
is getting hotter now I'm going to cut back on a little food
today they didn't trap as fast as I would have liked them
to.

Hey all.
Lets look at the feed this way. It's a buffet and
your the pigeon! Your going to want the caviar, the salmon, the
steak, a few peas and carrots, but what about the cold boiled
potato? Not the best thing is it? Not really tickling the
tastebuds? If you feed a mixed grain, the birds are no different
to you or I. What I do is when I've weaned the young birds, I
feed a single grain for couple of days.ie milo for 2days then
wheat, then maple peas and finally barley. I then mix the days
about but always feed them barley on every other day, this is
because they detest the stuff so much that they have to eat it
after couple of weeks I'll give them all the seeds mixed and
continue to once a week. I know it's a long and testing way, but
when they've become yearlings and older they eat everything with
no waste or very little, thus they have less and it works out
cheaper.
