I guess that's all you can do to attempt to hide your comments,
ey? No problem Joe. I've got nothing against you or anyone else.
Didn't know stating facts about pellets would get you thinking
that competition flying is the only fun way to fly. :)

Hide what? I took what sounded like it offended you ( ::) ) off.
I will delete my whole post if it would make you more at ease?

if feeding grain, and you're concerned about the breeders
picking thru for their favorite seeds, you might want to
consider this option. In the morning, leave enough to allow the
breeders to feed their babies and themselves, but not so much as
to have them start splattering the feed to search for particular
grains. in the afternoon, most all of the feed should be gone,
and then allow them to eat all they want, leaving some for the
next morning. its basically just cutting back a bit on the
morning feed, so as to discourage them from throwing feed all
over. and btw, i'm not totally sold on pellets. my concern is
when the grain used for pellets is harvested, how long does it
sit in storage until its processed into pellets? you can always
tell moldy feed, but once its processed into pellets, will you
be able to tell then? do the mill operators sell to the pellet
producers feed that they were'nt able to get the top price, only
because its older and the quality is lower? just wondering

I'm with Steve on this, I don't like the idea of feeding
pellets, I think the roller needs the grinding action of the
gizzard to maintain proper health, and it provides warmth in the
cold months. I was just looking for a more prefered grain to
feed my breeders.

For individual pair feeding the right style of container will
save feed.
Take care

Hey Dell, That is a 96oz orange juice container. If you fill the
jug with hot tap water and let it set for five minutes the
labels will peel right off. The hole is two inches around and
two inches up. In my Crown cages I have holes cut on both sides.
Even when they flip the feed most of it will stay in the jug.
There is some loss but no where near the amount I got with the
open cups that came with the cage.
Take care
Thom
